Build Well is looking for a Landscape Construction Project Manager who will work alongside the Director of Construction on the construction of all site work and landscaping projects. Typically a Build Well property includes robust landscaping. The Project Manager will supervise all landscaping related projects including but not limited to:

· Grading and excavating with company owned equipment

· Retaining walls

· Dry wells & drainage

· Planting

· Hydroseeding and/or SOD

· Driveways

· Hardscapes, stoops, patios

· Fencing


Project Manager will be responsible for supervising and managing all projects from start to finish including bidding & procurement of materials. All projects will be designed by architect with design input from Project Manager. The entire construction process will be tightly coordinated with architect and Owner to ensure the highest quality build.

We also maintain all landscaping on our rental properties. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of all existing Build Well locations (approximately 4-5 properties at a time) throughout the year. We employ outside vendors for plant care, applications and lawn care, project manager will supervise these vendors.

Build Well has multiple residential projects that are at various design and construction stages. The ability to move between projects and foresee potential issues and then react and adapt is of the utmost importance.

  • Review project plan and details with salesperson, construction team members and support personnel via office meetings, site visits, emails, phone calls, etc.
  • Understand and apply order fulfillment processes in an efficient manner to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
  • Assist with permitting activities as needed.
  • Plan for and procure special equipment as needed on a site-by-site basis.
  • Review and approve time records, work orders, change orders, job costing files, billing and accounts receivable in coordination with appropriate departments.
  • Coordinate with Safety Manager to achieve safety goals by training and mentoring employees.
  • Utilize appropriate technologies to facilitate information management and record keeping.
  • Communicate and resolve needs, issues, safety concerns and/or problems to supervisor or applicable party in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain excellent communication, high safety standards, and positive relations with coworkers, customers, sub-contractors and the public.
  • Understand and promote the importance of environmental stewardship/conservation and respect for natural resources in conjunction with company goals and objectives as they relate to client desires and sustainability initiatives.
  • Represent the Company in a positive manner befitting our brand and image.
  • Adhere to and uphold all Company safety practices, procedures and policies.

Skills and Experience You Offer:

  • Two years or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction building techniques and materials, including but not limited to: hardscapes, natural stone, excavation and fine grading, irrigation, fencing, bluff development, erosion control, drainage, planting, lighting, and retaining walls. Must have the ability to read and interpret, engineering (structural & civil), landscape, detail, and general construction drawings.
  • General knowledge of village codes related to permitting.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of the safety issues, regulations, and procedures utilized in public and private work activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required, experience in Aspire software is a bonus.
  • Candidates must have and maintain a valid local drivers license and maintain a good driving record.
  • Required to pass a post-offer DOT medical physical and drug screen, and (ongoing) periodic DOT physical and drug screen according to DOT guidelines to maintain DOT certification.
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds, repetitively and frequently.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, supervisors, coworkers, sub-contractors and the general public.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Must be able to communicate in English, including: read, write, and with use of computers and phones. fluency in Spanish is a plus.

**Job Description**
The purpose of this position is to manage the Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) function to create and sustain a productive work culture and safe work environment in order to avoid and minimize HSE related problems. These problems include but are not limited to prevention of human injury, environmental degradation and unsafe working conditions/practices. This is done through health, safety and environmental training, programs, and processes with a visible and uncompromised commitment to the protection of the environment as well as the productivity of the Company's employees.
- Manage and train subordinates assigned to her/his area on HSE activities on Total Installed Cost (TIC) large-scale projects; duties may include the calculation and control of HSE budgets, staffing requirements and schedules; preparation of certification/classification programs and the preparation of the supporting HSE documents; coordination and execution of safety cases (SC) and support studies; Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA); Process Hazard Analyses (PHA); Fire Protection Specifications (FPS) and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) as required by certification or regulatory entities
- Provide guidance, assistance and advice to business lines, project management, and Company organizations through interpretation of Company HSE practices and procedures in relation to client requirements and current legislation and regulations
- Make decisions independently on engineering/scientific problems and methods relating to HSE using advanced techniques, modifications and extensions of theories, precepts and practices of the particular field, related sciences and disciplines
- Develop, customize, and supervise the implementation of HSE programs, including project site-based HSE orientation, recognition and awards programs, to all levels of project staff to promote a balance between productivity and the safety of project staff and visitors in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
- Run gap analyses to identify and address program gaps that may occur between Company practices, client requirements, and regulatory/legislative requirements in order to confirm that the project conforms to Company, client and regulatory/legislative requirements
- Initiate, foster and maintain HSE standards and goals through Company and/or project wide HSE programs to heighten awareness and promote a safe and productive work environment
- Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
- Other duties as assigned
**Basic Job Requirements**
- Accredited four (4)year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eight (8) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twelve (12) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
