We are seeking a Landscape Designer to join our team in a production design role, focusing on commercial and municipal projects. Your Key Responsibilities
- Apply landscape design principles including site analysis, theming, schematic design, and design development.
- Assist in preparing project documentation across all design phases (e.g., graphics, grading, paving, structures, lighting, planting, irrigation, and layout).

  • Work in conjunction with other licensed engineers on design and preparation of a variety of commercial, industrial, residential, energy and community projects throughout the Midwest.
  • Coordinate with fellow MSG staff across a variety of services sectors including: Surveying, Environmental, Geotechnical, Structural, Traffic, Transportation, MEP, Site Construction, etc.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand project goals and present design solutions
  • Contribute to proposal writing and project marketing efforts, as needed
  • Conduct site analysis, research local codes, and assist in project permitting
  • Assist in the design and development of site plans, landscape plans, grading plans and illustrative graphics for parks, streetscapes, trail systems, civic spaces, and commercial developments
  • Support all phases of project development, including conceptual design, construction documentation, and project administration.



Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelors or higher in Landscape Architecture or Civil Engineer (preferred)
  • At least 5 years of related experience
  • EIT required for engineering applications or PLA(CO1) (KW2)  licensure in the state of Ohio required. Ability to obtain PE/PLA within 1 year of hire.
  • Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, HydroCAD, LandFX, Adobe suite, SketchUp or other modeling programs required. 
  • Experience in design and plan preparations.
  • Strong graphic, written, and verbal communication skills
