Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Field Maintenance Worker to support the upkeep of Georgia Power Plants and substations. The ideal candidate will perform routine landscape maintenance, including grass cutting, weed control, and pesticide application, ensuring all areas remain well-maintained and in compliance with safety standards. This role requires a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in varying weather conditions and outdoor environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform grounds maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, and edging using weedeaters, zero-turn mowers, slope mowers, and tractors
- Spray and treat substations and surrounding grounds for weed and pest control
- Operate and maintain landscaping tools, machinery, and equipment
- Attend daily safety meetings and follow all safety guidelines and company protocols to ensure a safe working environment
- Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team setting
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to operate weedeaters, zero-turn mowers, slope mowers, tractors, and other landscaping equipment
- Experience with pesticide and herbicide application a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in team setting
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions and lift heavy equipment
- Valid drivers license required; ability to travel to different locations as needed

Objective:
Manage and develop the Landscape Maintenance team in creating beautiful spaces & experiences for clients in residential and commercial settings. Landscape Maintenance includes caring for existing landscapes and property amenities with services such as but not limited to: plant care; mulch maintenance; landscape bed weed control; trimming & pruning of shrubs, trees, perennials; pressure washing; plant replacements and enhancements to existing landscape beds.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and maintain accountability for Landscape Maintenance operations.
- Analyze department budgets and financials to monitor departmental productivity and overall effectiveness.
- Provide leadership & training to direct reports to ensure quality in the landscape maintenance department is consistent and processes are followed by all. This includes but it not limited to: Accurate job ticket completion; Management & development of landscape maintenance team members; Quality control checks of team members’ work product for horticultural accuracy & completeness; Manage daily O&M of departments tools & equipment for safe/efficient operation.
- Implement and maintain a comprehensive horticultural training program for team members.
- Manage crew schedules to meet the needs of clients, operations, and procurement.
- Coordinate procurement for ordering and delivery of materials to ensure timely job execution
- Coordinate & communicate with Fleet Manager for equipment needs & repairs
- Assist sales team with field identification of plants, diseases, and environmental factors to support job planning; Assist sales team by identifying enhancement opportunities at current client sites for Account Manager-Client follow ups.
- Perform field work at key projects requiring expertise and/or as needed
- Attend continuing education classes as required to maintain certifications
- Perform snow removal duties as assigned
- Promote, demonstrate and enforce safety procedures & company policies
- Support and enforce RJ Lawn & Landscape vision, mission, and core values

Reports to: Operations Manager
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-Yr horticulture degree or equivalent 5 years of horticultural experience
- Mastery of large and medium-sized equipment operation
- Current 3OT applicator’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in landscape maintenance operations
- Experience in crew or department leadership
- Advanced horticultural knowledge
- Tree, shrub, perennial, and annual ID
- Plant and landscape disease ID
- Disease and plant injury treatment procedures
- Current CDL endorsement

The Landscape Laborer uses hand and/or power tools or equipment to perform a wide range of landscape and irrigation duties.
You'd be responsible for:
+ Utilize hand and/or power tools or equipment to perform a wide range of landscape and irrigation duties
+ Lay sod, plant, water, fertilize, dig, rake, and install sprinklers
+ Install mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units
+ Abide by all internal control & compliance practices to
+ Safeguard assets from theft and misuse
+ Ensure segregation of duties to minimize fraud
+ Comply with business ethics, applicable laws and regulation
+ Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; periodically reconcile physical assets to accounting records
+ Utilize hand equipment with mechanized moving blades such as gas-powered shears
+ Utilize manual hand tools such as shovels
+ Utilize a hand shovel for extended period
You might be a good fit if you have:
+ 6 months commercial landscape experience preferred but not required
And while not mandatory, it would be great if you also have:
+ Work near or about natural bodies of water
+ Work 8+ hours per day with applicable breaks x 5 days/week (some overtime/weekend work required)
+ Work from elevated heights such as an 8' A-frame ladder
+ Work in/or about situations near direct automotive traffic
+ Ability to work in extreme conditions - temperatures may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit

As an Landscape Maintenance Foreman at Trisler Landscape, you'll be entrusted with a range of critical responsibilities that drive our companys reputation and success:
- Property Leadership: Take charge of all properties from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Your leadership will be critical in overseeing the day-to-day operations on your routes.
- Crew Management: Supervise and motivate a team of dedicated landscape technicians. Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure high-quality workmanship and safety compliance.
- Quality Control: Uphold our company's reputation for excellence by maintaining the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship on all properties. Perform inspections and quality checks regularly.

An ideal candidate would be skilled and highly motivated, with a focus on working safely and providing outstanding customer service. The core requirements of the Maintenance Foreman will be to conduct site inspections and provide leadership, guidance, and assistance to the landscape maintenance crews.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee the work of their crew personnel.
- Train staff, ensure performance quality, and follow Job site schedules accordingly.
- Assist employees in proper landscape methods and procedures, providing corrections as needed.
- Inspect all grounds, lawns, landscaped areas, and landscaping regularly.
- Ensure properties are maintained in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
- Report any unsafe or improperly maintained conditions and correct them where necessary.
- Operate commercial mower, push mower 21, weed-eater, blower, stick edges, and recognize safety procedures and best practices.
- Perform minor repairs and adjustments on machinery.
- Operation of lawncare machinery, company trucks, and grounds maintenance equipment.
- Constant communication with the Operation Managers, multiple times a day, based on property performance and requirements.
- Knowledge of and adherence to OSHA and other Jobsite and Driver Safety Regulations, Company Policies, and Procedures
- Maintain tools and equipment in good, safe working condition.
- Lead your teams by positive example.
- Maintain Company Vehicle as per Company Requirements.
- Attend and participate in required safety, training, and leadership meetings as applicable.
- Submit and review required paperwork: Timesheets, receipts, daily debriefs, inspection reports, and completed reports – accurately and timely.
- Work following all local health and safety laws and regulations at the shop, yard, and on-site
