Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $28.61 - $36.47 per hour

Our client is seeking a Translation Services Specialist to support the Cultural and Linguistic Services Manager in providing high-quality Spanish translations of member materials, communications, and project content. This role plays a vital part in ensuring Spanish-speaking members receive clear, accurate, and culturally relevant information. The right candidate will be fluent in both written and verbal Spanish, thrive under minimal supervision, and bring exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, the position of Medical Interpreter is responsible for providing accurate medical interpretation between medical personnel and the limited English proficient (LEP) patient and families from the source language into the target language. Interprets in a professional, focused and culturally aware manner to ensure both parties know precisely what each speaker said and understands the information being communicated. They have the skill to provide translation of written medical documentation from English to Spanish and Spanish to English and are able to balance multiple language service requests in a high-energy environment. Abides by department standards as well as the National Standards of Practice for Interpreters in Healthcare HIPAA privacy and confidentiality laws.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Fluency in foreign language(s).
- Current knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Ability to precisely and accurately translate medical information from English to the patient's native language.
- Good interpersonal skills, flexibility, and customer service orientation.

**The current salary range for this position is $24.26 to $33.36**

Strong storytelling and presentation skills are essential, as this UX Designer will need to clearly communicate the design strategy, outcomes, and deliverables to diverse stakeholders. You must thrive in ambiguity and be comfortable making high-judgment calls throughout the design process, including deciding when to escalate risks or pivot from the plan.
About the team
The team consists of Product Managers, Program Managers, and Software Developers located in Seattle, Barcelona, and Hyderabad. The central team builds end-to-end translation technology, optimizing the quality and cost of translations across all of Amazon's content. We build state of the art translation technology: traditional and LLM-based machine translation, computer-aided translation, translation memories and term bases, LLM-based QA, dynamic workflow/routing decisions, etc.) to streamline productivity and ensure consistent quality.
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of design experience
- Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, ProtoPie, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar
- Experience collaborating with UX, Product, and Software Development partners
- Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity
- Experience working with stakeholders to plan and execute strategic programs
- Excellent communication and presentation skills

Amazon Translations Services (TS) is seeking a Senior Applied Scientist to be based in our Seattle office. As a key member of the Science and Engineering team of TS, this person will be responsible for designing algorithmic solutions based on data and mathematics for translating billions of words annually across 130+ and expanding set of locales. * Drive comprehensive data analysis to uncover non-obvious insights in multilingual data, relaying findings into actionable strategies that influence product roadmaps and capabilities for language technologies.
