This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will enhance the Launch Operations, in all aspects of crane operations. Duties will include reviewing and executing lift plans for critical lifting operations utilizing mobile and overhead cranes. In addition, this position will include, inspecting and using proper rigging for critical crane lifts and executing standard lift activities daily. Candidate will have the ability to inspect and properly utilize rigging hardware, lifting slings, as well as maintain Launch Operations mobile cranes and operator training records. You will be asked to support Test and Flight Operations Managers/Engineers as needed, per verbal directions, or written procedures to ensure all lifting operations are conducted safely. You will interface with stake holders towards efficient scheduling and prioritization, based on organizational goals. You will coordinate and communicate mobile crane requests and invoicing with the Crane Vendors.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience as a crane operator preferably with lattice and lock and pin booms.
  • 5+ years working with or in the aerospace industry.
  • NCCCO, TSS, TLL certification
  • Extensive Knowledge in industry rigging standards and practices. (ASME, OSHA, SPFCMAN 91-710). Calculate sling angles and sling angle tensions, determine center of gravity mathematically and in the field through extensive training and experience with materials and weights.
  • Must possess the knowledge in using and picking the proper rigging capacities and pick points to support the load safely.
  • Class A CDL with good driving record
  • Ability to develop and implement Critical lift plans in the field.
  • Ability to precisely follow critical lift plans and procedures prepared by Engineering.
  • Ability to work effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities.
  • Ability to develop and train new crane operators on proper rigging practices and crane usage.
  • Basic computer skills such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Must be able to set a high hiring bar while evaluating and hiring top talent.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
As our New Product Launch & Operations Buyer, you are responsible for new launches and base business procurement activities on execution.
Purpose of the role is to manage & be accountable for all end-to-end Procurement activities related to Innovation and Productivity projects within their brand, while supporting the implementation of the Global Category Sourcing strategy. The New Product Launch & Operations Buyer is the face of Procurement for internal stakeholders and has full understanding of brand needs, evolution and positioning.
**Your main focus:**
**Product Innovation**
+ Work closely with cross functional team (technical department, Initiative Management and Marketing) to understand the key upcoming launches and its business needs.
+ Ensure the procurement team is providing sourcing solutions that comply to our sustainability roadmap, sourcing strategy, fit the business need, are sensibly sourced and competitively priced, meeting financial targets.
+ Work on projects in pipeline with end-to-end scope from initiation to execution, having a critical eye on cost positioning vs target cost, specifications, volume and sustainability.
+ Proactively propose opportunities to increase profit & deliver bottom line savings. Keep track of "cost out" opportunities to be implemented in Y2/Y3.
+ Ensure continuous connection with Procurement Categories to share Brand vision on Business needs.
**Procurement Productivity**
+ Align on sourcing panels, manage tenders, analyse bids, propose supplier selection with appropriate justification & ensure award process is fully met.
+ Confirm right MOQ and cost per project and keep track of adherence during the fiscal year.
+ Identify Sustainability, Cost out, Value in and Cash in productivity projects opportunities.
+ Lead Productivity, Value Preservation and Renovation projects execution with Vendors, Initiative Management, Supply Chain Packaging, Quality and Planning.
+ Report and track Productivity projects in appropriate systems, forums and costing/budgeting exercises.
**Support to Operations**
+ Manage procurement related claims/issues for your brand as main point of contact; escalate to IPM leadership and/or category management as appropriate.
+ Support Business Continuity Plan for all high-risk materials.
+ Track and report CAPEX budget / Spend related to Productivity, Maintenance and Innovation projects on a Brand level.
+ Track and report Savings results on a Brand level.
+ Implement actions to minimize materials inventory and obsolescence (notably through OQ set-up).

About the Role
The Innovation Operations team sits at the intersection of experimentation and scale - translating new ideas into reliable, operational workflows. We're looking for a Technical Project Manager who can support innovation pilots (including but not limited to) Mobile space while also rolling up their sleeves to physically configure, troubleshoot, and optimize the backend environments that make those experiments real.

You will lead cross-functional projects that test and shape the future of how we launch mobile experiences and new formats, and ensure the technical foundation, from setup to backend tooling, is ready to support that future.

This role requires a mix of strategic project execution and hands-on technical coordination, including physical test setup and backend workflow design.

Responsibilities

Technical Project Ownership

  • Lead cross-functional innovation pilots, partnering with Product, Engineering, Creative and Operations to scope, test, and scale new product workflows
  • Translate abstract or early-stage ideas into structured, executable project plans
  • Drive operational handoff by coordinating with hubs and regional teams to support the transition from testing to productization and scaled operations
Technical Setup & Workflow Readiness
  • Set up and maintain backend testing environments

Requirements

The Innovation Operations team sits at the intersection of experimentation and scale - translating new ideas into reliable, operational workflows. Responsibilities

Technical Project Ownership

Requirements

  • 7+ years of technical project or program management experience, ideally in high-growth, cross-functional environments

The Manufacturing Engineer will update work instructions or author new instructions, ensure operations follow system and process requirements, identify and implement process controls, and drive continuous improvements and corrective actions. This individual with work closely with other Launch Operations teams and cross-functional organizations like engineering and quality.
The ideal candidate is experienced with assembly and test of flight hardware ; comfortable in a highly technical, fast-paced, and collaborative setting ; and is able to interpret technical requirements and turn them into actionable steps.
Key job responsibilities
- Planning material flow and implementing manufacturing processes for satellite handling and testing operations.
- Adhere to safety requirements, standards and procedures in all work locations.
- Final assembly and test of the Kuiper satellites using various ground systems in a clean-room and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) controlled environment.

They will lead root cause investigations and implement production controls and corrective actions. The engineer will also be a primary to lead containment and rework/repair efforts, as needed. They will use engineering best practices in a safe, repeatable manner to increase operation efficiency and reduce non-conformances. The engineer will use best judgement to facilitate decisions that may impact upstream and downstream teams/shifts.

- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- 5+ years Space hardware and/or rocket launch operations experience.

Project Kuiper is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. The TPM III for Launch Operations/Kuiper Government Services will act at the Single Threaded Owner for inputs and outputs to Launch Operations for KGS and Hosted Payload Services. This individual will work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to integrate Kuiper satellites for KGS/HPS with dispenser and launch vehicle hardware.
The TPM III is a technical leader of the team, providing guidance on many aspects including but not limited to KGS/HPS related: testing requirements, assembly/integration work cell design or modifications within the payload processing facilities, facility and equipment planning, integration and test application implementation and improvement, process control, design for manufacturability, project management, and tooling design.
