Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and management of legal documents, including pleadings and discovery templates.
- Handle heavy document management tasks, including regular document review and management projects.
- Compile exhibits and cross-check them against declarations for accuracy.
- Prepare and send large files to clients and opposing counsel using specific file sharing platforms.
- Proactively handle incoming documents by saving, routing, and determining the need for calendaring.
- Ensure proper setup of appearances by adding necessary information to the calendar, scheduling court reporters, and reserving conference rooms.

**The role you will contribute:**
The Legal Assistant reports to one or more attorneys in the AdventHealth Legal Department and provides the support necessary for the attorneys and other department staff to meet the day-to-day operations and functions of the AdventHealth Legal Department. Shall assist with appointment scheduling, document preparation and distribution, and completes special projects as assigned. + Types a variety of legal documents and templates (at the direction and under the supervision of the CLO and/or ACLOs) using styles and formats;
+ Responds to all communications and emails in a timely manner;

+ Assists with review, processing, and submission of external legal and other invoices;
+ Assists with preparing and placing legal holds, contract administration, review, and follow-up as requested;
+ Assists with creation and maintenance of legal hold and/or contract database and original files;
+ Maintains paper and electronic files for projects;
+ Ensures all correspondence and documents are proofread and have a professional appearance and organized in a clear, concise, and professional manner with correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar;
+ Maintains and updates project management logs and reports for all assigned projects through resolution of projects and for team workloads;
+ Serves as first point of contact for process servers, inquires, or issues concerning subpoenas, garnishments, or other legal matters, including maintenance of service of process log;
+ Maintains confidentiality in all AdventHealth matters;
+ Adheres to Federal, State, and local regulations (including HIPAA) as they pertain to assigned tasks;
+ Communicates critical information clearly, accurately, honestly and concisely in accordance with AdventHealth policies and procedures;

Responsibilities:
- Draft and prepare legal documents in accordance with established procedures.
- Accurately file legal documents and ensure timely submissions.
- Communicate effectively with internal team members and external partners to address inquiries and coordinate tasks.
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism in all interactions.
- Manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
- Utilize computer systems and software tools to streamline processes and maintain records.
- Assist in consumer collections and support civil litigation processes.
- Contribute to team efforts by taking on additional duties as assigned. Requirements
- Proven reliability and ability to consistently meet expectations.
- Strong attention to detail and process-oriented mindset.
- Self-motivated with a competitive drive to succeed.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software applications.
