KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Provide comprehensive mental health care and support, including the diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders.
- Develop tailored treatment plans based on individual patient needs and circumstances.
- Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team, participating in treatment team meetings to discuss clinical cases and update patient treatment plans.
- Engage in continuous monitoring and coordination of behavioral health services, linking with other treatment providers both within and outside the primary care setting as permitted.

Description of Services
Outpatient Clinicians provide outpatient therapy to children, adolescents, and their families to address
emotional and behavioral concerns. Each family is provided a prompt intake appointment to develop a
comprehensive treatment plan tailored to the unique strengths and needs of the child and family. In
addition to offering traditional treatment methods, such as Play Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral
Therapy, we have specialized programming to deliver evidence-based practice models. Outpatient
clinicians must follow the rules and regulations set forth by Blair Family Solutions, any payer they accept
for payment of service and any state and/or federal guidelines.
Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities
Complete a thorough assessment of emotional, psycho-social and eco-systemic issues that pertain to
the emotional struggles of the client.
Demonstrate the ability to actively engage the client and family in the treatment process through the
use of reflective listening, collaboration, empathy and consideration of cultural, ethnic and religious
beliefs.
Provide a diagnosis for each identified client by utilizing diagnostic criteria from the DSMV.
Complete a drug and alcohol screening within the required timeframe and complete any necessary
follow-up or referrals.
Complete an insurance registration form for CCBH clients within the required timeframe.
Identify strengths and utilize a strengths based approach in treatment.
develop a treatment plan within the required timeframe and review it with client/family to ensure it
captures the client/family concerns
Review the treatment plan as required, review it with the client/family and get signatures.
Assure that ongoing communication and collaboration occurs among all treatment team members as
well as family members as appropriate.
Make referrals to other programs or outside agencies when necessary due to need of another level of
care or to augment outpatient service.
Attend and participate in supervision as required.
Attend and participate in trainings required by Blair Family Solutions and to meet the requirement of
their license when needed.
Remain abreast of new techniques and research supporting specific interventions and best practice.
Maintain client confidentiality.
Work with front desk staff regarding scheduling to ensure that client needs are met.
Complete a progress note for each session and submit billing information in a timely manner.
Achieve the expected amount of billable and non-billable hours, including summer months.
Provide clinical leadership to the treatment team and family.
Monitor psychotropic medication within the scope of practice and collaborate with prescribing doctors
as needed.
Complete required reports to Child line and other agencies involved as necessary.
Work in collaboration with Program Director, Clinical Consultant, Administrative Staff, Quality
Assurance Department, and the billing department to assist in the process of monitoring quality
assurance and other protocols necessary to effectively manage programmatic aspects.
Maintain high quality records sufficient to meet State and Federal clinical documentation requirements
that include all funding sources. Billing should be reviewed prior to being turned in to billers to ensur
that records are accurate.
Check mailbox, voicemail and email on a frequent basis and respond promptly when asked both to
internal and external sources.
Education Requirements
One of the following:
1) Has a graduate degree from a college or university that is accredited by an agency recognized
by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation
(CHEA) in a generally recognized clinical discipline in which the degree program includes a clinic
practicum.
2) OR has an equivalent degree from a foreign college or university that has been evaluated by the
Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE) or the National Association of
Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). The Department will accept a general equivalency
report from the listed evaluator agencies to verify a foreign degree or its equivalency.
Other Qualifications
All necessary child abuse clearances (PA Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse Clearance,
and Federal Criminal History Clearance)
Valid driver's license
