In this role, you will perform engineered-to-order (ETO) design work in 2D and 3D CAD, create Bills of Material (BOMs), process engineering change notices and technical work in accordance with customer requirements, processing orders of varying complexity from receipt to completion. Provide guidance to ETO Engineers, Application and Proposal Engineers, Marketing, Sales, shop floor personnel, and Purchasing. After proving good decision making, this position will allow a fair amount of latitude in making independent design decisions. This role requires only moderate supervision, and work is approved by a Master Designer or ETO Engineer.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $53253.0 - $78104.4 a year.

**What you'll do:**
- Understand engineering/ drafting/ Designers toolsets, including SAP, PLM, AutoCAD, Inventor.

WSP USA is initiating a search for a BIM Roadway Lead Designer out of our Houston, TX office.
The Civil BIM Manager is responsible for performing project BIM and Information Management functions for major transportation infrastructure projects, the Civil BIM Manager will be well versed in information management process and have previous experience leading multi-disciplinary project teams in all aspects of information production, delivery and exchange. The Civil BIM Manager will also be responsible for managing BIM project delivery both internally and externally to WSP on projects and should have experience running coordination and production delivery meetings.
Additional responsibilities include implementing and supervising drawing and modeling standards, managing drawing production, and performing non-routine and complex drafting and modeling assignments through the use of various software programs, primarily OpenRoads Designer, OpenBridge Modeler, OpenRoads ConceptStation and iTwin Platform. The Civil BIM Manager will report to WSP USA's National Transportation Digital Delivery team and is also responsible for implementing BIM initiatives throughout the Texas region, such as providing guidance to staff with regards to training, company standards, and model development.

WSP USA is initiating a search for a BIM Roadway Lead Designer out of our Houston, TX office.
The Civil BIM Manager is responsible for performing project BIM and Information Management functions for major transportation infrastructure projects, the Civil BIM Manager will be well versed in information management process and have previous experience leading multi-disciplinary project teams in all aspects of information production, delivery and exchange. The Civil BIM Manager will also be responsible for managing BIM project delivery both internally and externally to WSP on projects and should have experience running coordination and production delivery meetings.
Additional responsibilities include implementing and supervising drawing and modeling standards, managing drawing production, and performing non-routine and complex drafting and modeling assignments through the use of various software programs, primarily OpenRoads Designer, OpenBridge Modeler, OpenRoads ConceptStation and iTwin Platform. The Civil BIM Manager will report to WSP USA's National Transportation Digital Delivery team and is also responsible for implementing BIM initiatives throughout the Texas region, such as providing guidance to staff with regards to training, company standards, and model development.

Your Impact
- Oversee quality control standards and procedures for accurate and precise BIM work, measurements, documentation, analysis, and portrayal of incoming and existent data.
- Ensure standard practices to provide technical design assistance and guidance that accounts for the proper illustration, fit form, and function using geometric dimensioning, tolerance and quantity calculations, while ensuring the construction and maintainability of designs according to design standard specifications and code requirements.
- Acts as a lead consultant regarding work progress and problem resolution; may serve as the only Civil BIM Manager resource on a project or assist in overseeing Civil BIM Manager activities for projects of a moderate/large scope and complexity.
- Assist with development and scoping of Civil BIM Manager activities for medium-to large-sized projects.
- Ensure compliance with guidelines and project-specific procedures which include but are not limited to, the maintenance of any data collection, database, documentation, and the management of a digital library of drafting and design support documents in various file types.
- Apply analytical techniques and software to solve more larger-scale and complex engineering issues on projects, or to modify or redesign existing designs in accordance with project standards and specifications.
- Advanced knowledge of OpenRoads Designer, OpenBridge Modeler, OpenRoads ConceptStation and iTwin Platform, including advanced modeling, template creation, drawing package management, clash detection and scripting.
- Performs Bentley project setups and updates including workspace development and modifications.
- Implement drawing organization for large, complex drawing packages across multiple companies.
- Facilitates collaboration and clash detection for a large, multi-discipline project team across multiple companies.
- Troubleshoots general Bentley project-related issues with limited assistance of department management.
- Participates in Bentley development.
- Develops and mentors staff on WSP Bentley standards and processes.
- Supervise work product compiled and drafted from the physical work site, surveys, structural concepts, blueprints, schematics, data, verbal or written specifications, technical drawings, rough sketches, diagrams, and other matrices to support drafting and design activities for single, multi-phase, or multi-site project work.

- Actively engage in business development and proposal writing.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, Urban Planning, Environmental Planning, or a related field (or equivalent experience.)
- 7-10 years' experience using Bentley technologies within the A/E/C industry
- 6 + years' experience with Open/Connect Bentley Civil design, documentation and management
