Qualifications

Education

Bachelor of Science in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Systems, Electrical, Nuclear, Civil/Structural, Chemical, Aeronautical), or Sciences (e.g., Physics, Mathematics) from an ABET-accredited university.
• U.S. Navy Nuclear Power Training is a plus, but is not required.

Experience

At least 5 years of relevant experience including:

• Contributing technical role in projects covering specification, design, or evaluation of mechanical, civil/structural, I&C, and/or electrical systems and components
• Management of technical projects
• Use of design and analysis tools for systems and/or components (e.g., pumps, heat exchangers, motors, and valves or experience with equivalent military equipment)
• One 5-year tour of operational Navy Nuclear experience is considered equivalent

The GEOAxIS system provides Identity, Credential and Access Management for all web applications. GEOAxIS enables online, on-demand, access to NGA GEOINT content based on user's authoritative attributes/roles. Our Mission is to maintain highly available ICAM services for protecting those critical mission applications across all security domains. The Systems Engineering team within the Engines and Power Systems organization has an immediate opening for a Lead Project Engineer. In this role, the Lead will oversee the execution of the System Structures, Loads and Dynamics (SSLD), Full Engine Thermal Deflection Model (FETDM), and Rotor Dynamics work package on the HTF NG turbofan engine development program and ensure execution. Development efforts will include electrical and mechanical designs, designs from multiple subcontractors as well as internal integration, test, demonstration and delivery. There position will require approximately 10% travel.
The Chief Engineer is expected to lead this important program with minimal supervision and may provide guidance and coaching to other project engineers in the department. The Program Chief Engineer will have exposure to both local business leadership as well as higher level leadership across the company.
Essential Functions:
+ Provide technical leadership on all program internal engineering development efforts, interface and technical oversight of suppliers, communication with business unit leadership and cross functional coordination to optimize program performance.
+ Responsible for the day-to-day tactical duties for assigned programs, including leading teams of engineers and managing workload.
+ Oversees and coordinates the cost/schedule/technical aspects of ongoing engineering efforts within the program guidelines set by the Program Manager, Business Chief Engineer and customer.
+ Partners with Systems Engineering to ensure design reviews and readiness events are completed on time in compliance with internal policy.
+ Helps write and review Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables such as technical reports, memos and test results.
+ Presents program progress and status to customer program office and technical teams.
+ Serves as the main point-of-contact between the engineering program team, the program office, and the business leadership team
+ Assesses engineering project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
+ Leads Estimate at Complete (EAC) and Program Management Review inputs for Engineering
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience,
+ or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience,
+ or in lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
+ Multi-Disciplined Team Lead Experience 9+ years after receiving Bachelor's degree.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain an active DOD US Secret Security Clearance
+ Working knowledge of DOD program environment; esp. FAR, ITAR, FMS, DCS requirements.
+ Must have prior experience being a Technical Lead on a developmental or production program.
+ Experience with Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Organizational Breakdown Structures (OBS), and change management withing the Program Management Baseline (PMB).
+ Must have a good working knowledge of Earned Value Management and competency in understanding and reporting metrics.
+ Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings of complex components.
+ Basic understanding of computer network component functions (routers, servers, switches, firewalls).
+ Experience with engineering change management, impacts and risks to other aspects of the program and project.
Preferred Additional Skills:
+ Degree in one of the following disciplines is preferred: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or Computer System Engineering.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $125,000- 232,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. As a Lead Project Engineer at Weatherford, you'll be at the forefront of technical service delivery in the oil and gas industry. **Key Responsibilities**
+ Participate in daily operations and safety meetings, including toolbox talks and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
+ Lead Project pre-planning and platform integration
+ Perform PJU-HD detailed platform layout and elevations
+ Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
+ Perform verification of hosing and circulation system requirements
+ Coordinate BOP verification documentation and testing programs
+ Manage field operation crews during complex installations and service
+ Partner with client to provide specific PJU-HD structural analysis information to satisfy regulatory requirements
+ Present and perform Incident investigation, root cause evaluation and corrective action implementation (WPTS / CPAR)

**Qualifications** **Education & Experience**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
+ 5-7 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
+ Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software
+ Experience with structural design work, particularly for load-bearing components and frameworks
+ Experience with crane capacity / lifting requirement verification
+ Knowledge of mechanics, electricity, electronics, pneumatics, and/or hydraulics preferred
+ Leadership experience is preferred
+ Physical capability to perform required field tasks
