**Responsibilities of the Job (Or Better Known as, Your Next Destination)**
Responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and performing advanced vehicle repairs and maintenance, performing emissions testing (state inspections were applicable), vehicle movement, inventory management, repair documentation, and computer utilization.
+ Perform inspections, maintenance and repairs on multiple makes and models of DriveTime inventory vehicles.
+ Explain automotive repairs and issues to management to minimize re-work and delays in production.
+ Proper documentation of all work performed in DT systems.
+ Keep area clean and organized to maintain highest level of safety and compliance.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (The Good Stuff)**
+ Must be proficient in automotive repairs.
+ Must be able to trouble shoot basic automotive concerns.
+ Must be able to communicate the causes and recommended corrections for vehicle issue.
+ Must be able to meet metric performance targets.
+ Must be able to learn and operate basic computer systems.
+ Must be organized and punctual.
+ Must maintain a safe and compliant work space.
+ Must be able to learn and comply with all DriveTime standards.
**Requirements (a.k.a. What You Need to Get the Job Done)**
+ High School Diploma or GED required; Certificate or Associates degree in automotive technology or work experience equivalent (3 years or more) in automotive repair.
+ Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
+ Must be at least 18 years of age.
**Physical Requirements**

+ Change oil and perform other scheduled maintenance services.

+ Road test vehicles.
+ Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least one of A1 - A8 within first two years of employment (Tests and registrations fees are paid for by company pass or fail. Technicians receive bonus for each test passed)
**Minimum Qualifications**

+ Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.

Our client, a premier automotive dealership with a reputation for excellence, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automotive Technician to join their state-of-the-art facility in Columbus, Ohio, US . As a Senior Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicle makes and models, with a focus on complex diagnostics and electrical systems. You will lead by example, providing mentorship to junior technicians and ensuring the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. This role requires a deep understanding of automotive systems, including engine, transmission, braking, suspension, and advanced electronic systems. ASE certifications are strongly preferred, and a proven track record of troubleshooting and problem-solving is essential. You will work with the latest diagnostic equipment and tools, ensuring efficient and accurate repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on various vehicle makes and models.
• Identify the root cause of mechanical and electrical issues with precision.
• Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections and recommend necessary services and repairs.
• Repair or replace faulty components, ensuring proper fit and function.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior service technicians.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding repair needs and findings.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Automotive Technology or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a certified automotive technician.
• ASE certifications (A1-A8, L1, G1) highly preferred.
• Proven expertise in diagnosing and repairing complex automotive systems.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, engine performance, and diagnostics.
• Proficiency with OEM diagnostic software and scan tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

**Job Description:**
UPS is currently seeking a reliable Automotive Technician to join our outstanding fleet maintenance team. He/She will maintain a diverse range of equipment including delivery vehicles, heavy duty on road tractors and trailers from a variety of manufacturers. Powered vehicle propulsion includes diesel, gasoline and alternative technology power plants (including compressed natural gas, liquefied natural gas, propane, hybrid and electrical in some locations). Automotive Technicians must be skilled in troubleshooting and maintaining various systems including hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical and engine control. Automotive Technicians must be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shifts, including Monday through Friday, Sunday through Thursday as well as Tuesday through Saturday schedules, depending on the location's need. **Responsibilities and Duties**
+ Meets D.O.T requirements required by job assignment
+ Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, crouches, crawls, climbs ladders and stairs, stands, walks, and turns/pivots frequently throughout duration of workday
+ Sits infrequently, as required, throughout duration of workday
+ Exercises simple hand grasping, power hand grasping, fine hand manipulation, and reaching from foot level to above shoulder level as necessary to complete assigned tasks
+ Operates standard and manual transmission
+ Operates power and pneumatic tools
+ Meets all requirements to be Power Industrial Truck Operations (PITO) certified
**Knowledge and Skills**
+ Current documented automotive mechanical experience
+ Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer
+ Possesses full complement of personal hand tools
+ Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - **Preferred**
+ Works full time shifts: 8-10 hours per day, 4-5 days per 7-day week
+ Dependable with ability to report to work on a regular and timely basis and complete scheduled workday on a consistent basis
+ Available to work varying shifts, additional hours and/or overtime depending on service needs
+ Wears personal protective equipment as required
+ Works in an environment with variable temperatures and humidity (climatic conditions), exposure to cleaning materials, petroleum products, dust, dirt, and noise, outside inclement weather, etc.
+ Works cooperatively in a diverse work environment
+ Communicates effectively through sight, hearing, and/or otherwise, to perform assigned tasks and maintain proper job safety conditions
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The starting pay for this position is $38 **.86** per hour. For union-represented postings, wage rates and ranges and benefit offerings are governed by applicable collective bargaining agreement provisions.
