About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Lead Physician to lead our Men's Health telehealth program. The Lead Physician will be responsible for overseeing all clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. This role requires extensive experience in telehealth and a deep understanding of men's health conditions, including erectile dysfunction (ED), hair loss, and testosterone optimization.

~ The Medical Pod Leader will be the clinical leader responsible for the clinical performance of clinical pod team members – to include: Accurate diagnosis and documentation, quality, patient experience, affordability, patient safety, clinical team dynamics, and provider productivity. The pod leader will be tasked with developing and maintaining close working relationships with all clinical team members in the clinical pod. The pod leader will also function as the collaborating physician for associated pod advanced practice providers (APPs). Act as on-site supervising Physician for assigned APPs, and Physicians assigned to the POD (collaborating physician). Collaborative time will correlate to assigned APPs and Physicians

Participate in at least 1 ride along with all collaborative APPs per quarter

Provide a complex patient visit as needed for each APP under supervision

Collaborate with clinical team members associated with pod (Community Health Workers, Medical Social Workers, Nurse Navigators, Care Managers, Patient Care Coordinators, etc.)

Develop and participate in APP clinical development (Evidenced based care, professionalism, etc.)

Lead and participate in high-risk huddles and ensure all patients discussed have a plan of care documented and includes all care management team members

Act as resource for clinical team members for patient care questions/concerns and participate in difficult conversations with patients/family members as requested by team

Routinely conduct panel reviews with APPs

Sign DME, death certificates, and other orders as needed on behalf of APP (as regulated by state)

Frequently review Quality metrics, pod level performance and identify areas for improvement leading to superior Quality (HEDIS) performance

Frequently review clinician capacity and productivity performance. Partner with Site Medical Directors to develop countermeasures and support their implementation when provides are off track

Work collaboratively with Regional Medical Director (RMD) to identify opportunities for care improvement 

Assists with service inquiry, resolution of patient complaints and requests for Pod as needed

Participate in patient care to assigned panel and other patients as needed (High risk or complex patients, Physician face to face requirements, cognitive assessments, etc.)

**Responsibilities**
The Lead Physician Office Specialist is responsible for oversight of daily front office activities, including management of provider resource calendars. Manages patient access by facilitating resource calendar availability. Collaborates with Office Supervisor, RN Lead, Providers, Operations Administrator, and other allied health professionals to facilitate effective/efficient operations. Responsible for the supervision and training of other personnel in the performance of Physician Office Specialist activities. Responsible for coordinating and supporting the ongoing needs of patients, physicians, employees and the institution through a variety of front office functions, while also filling the role of Physician Office Specialist and back up Medical Secretary. Maintains regular contact with other internal departments, ie Radiology, Laboratory, Registration, Medical Records, Appointment Offices, etc. for the purpose of exchanging information, providing instruction, problem resolution and service. Serves as point of contact for customer service recovery inquiries. Participates in planning, organizing, and resource management to ensure efficiency in the work unit. Communicates and interprets institution and department policies, information, changes and ongoing developments under the direction of the Office Supervisor. In addition, the Lead Physician Office Specialist has the responsibility to serve as the liaison with the physician chair and administration to perform operational activities.

**Qualifications**
Associates degree in healthcare, business, communications or related field and two years of experience of Mayo front office operations or five years experience in healthcare required. Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding and medical terminology is required.
**Additional Qualifications**
A Bachelors degree in healthcare, business, communications or related filed is preferred. Progressive responsibility within front office operations is preferred. Knowledge of multiple electronic applications which support the front office operations, to also include Microsoft Excel and Word is preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills and organizational skills with the ability to function independently are preferred. Excellent customer service skills, strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks/priorities are preferred. Must be able to flex hours to meet the demands of the work area.

Pediatric Associates is seeking a Regional Lead Physician to provide leadership support in PA and NY. This role consists of both clinical practice and oversight and continuous improvement of the direct patient care provided by clinicians within the region of the state. Under the direction of the Senior Regional Medical Director, the Regional Lead Physician will be accountable for maximizing overall clinical value while engaging Physicians/APP to improve clinical quality, efficiency, outcomes, and clinician/patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• The region includes Kids Plus Pediatrics in Pittsburgh, PA and The Children's Medical Group in The Hudson Valley of NY
• Option for a 4 or 5-day work week with 1 day of administrative time
• Responsible to implement and monitor standards for the overall quality and care of clinical services provided in the region assigned. Assures all practices operate within the clinical quality, care, and safety guidelines of the Enterprise, as well as federal/regional/state guidelines.
• Builds and develops the clinician workforce within the region assigned. Assures adequate staffing, monitors performance, and coaches clinicians. Communicates effectively to assure high clinician satisfaction, engagement, and performance.
• With Operational Dyad Management, implements and monitors office staffing and standards that result in the highest quality of care while providing value, efficiency, and outstanding service to patients. Responsible for achieving the clinical and operational goals established for the assigned region.
• Oversees and monitors office budgets that assure adequate resources to meet clinical and regional goals. Monitors productivity, staffing and scheduling within the regions. Assures regional schedules and templates meet patient and non-clinician staffing needs.
• Advises, as needed with medical management leadership, risk management and other staff support teams, on quality and care related programs and policies. Works with local Quality and Risk Management staff to achieve and maintain quality and accreditation standards and plans.
• Represents regional clinicians on clinician committees as appointed by the CMO and Regional Medical Director, including the Quality subcommittees and others, approving clinical standards and policy.
• This position requires occasional travel to New York

Experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years experience in pediatric primary care office leadership.
• Experience with budgeting and project management
• Experience on one or more committees supporting practice development, such as quality, clinician engagement, or operations.
• Knowledge and experience in a managed care delivery system, advancing clinical outcomes, and quality improvement processes
• Understanding of pediatric best practices and how to successfully introduce performance management initiatives into clinical practice
