**Lean Technician**
Operational Excellence is a key part of our business. Reporting to the Lean Specialist, the Lean Tech is responsible for driving continuous improvements through all operations. They will use a variety of tools through the daily management initiatives and improvement activities; serving and teaching alongside Operations in a fast-paced environment. Successful candidates will have some prior experience in Lean Manufacturing.

+ Continuously learn and apply applicable Lean tools to drive a culture of change.

+ Responsible to help establish, coach, and maintain effective daily performance management.
+ Train and coach hourly operators and other employees on lean tools and processes.

**Operational Excellence Lean Specialist Intern - Indianapolis, Indiana**
As the Operational Excellence Lean Specialist Intern, you'll will be responsible for supporting the Indianapolis Exits Manufacturing Plant through the Lean transformation and daily management initiatives. The Lean Specialist is an integral part of the plant's daily operations, growth, and transformation. Your role will ensure the principles, practices, and tools are incorporated into the Allegion culture. As the Operational Excellence Lean Specialist, you will have the opportunity to interact directly with all levels of plant operations and corporate leadership. JOB SUMMARY
The Manager, Lean Six Sigma will provide support to senior management and the Lean Six Sigma team to strategically plan, organize and implement World Class lean principles throughout the organization with strong focus on 5S+Safety and Lean Six Sigma methodology. The role will support the analysis, facilitation and reporting functions and will be responsible for driving change that will improve quality, reduce costs and establish appropriate process metrics and controls for the region (SAI, SAC, Millstone and ADC).
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- You will provide support to Senior Leadership for the development of strategic plan for implementation of a World Class Organization (WCO).
- You will develop a culture of continuous improvement. You will use data to communicate and support the opportunities that exist.
- You will provide direction, suggestions, and influence on Senior Leadership for development of strategic plan for implementation of LSS.
- You will lead training in Lean Six Sigma to create “belted” associates at SAI, SAC and Millstone.
- You will achieve identified cost savings / avoidance at SAI through the development of best practices and projects utilizing LSS methodologies.
- You will identify key improvement projects and initiatives that will deliver optimal savings in cost, quality and productivity.
- You will methodologically support various projects throughout the plant.
- You will interface with all supporting functions.
- You will train and coach staff in the use of continuous improvement and LSS tools.
- You will support leadership in the training and use of 5S+Safety and Lean Six Sigma tools and methodology.

WHO YOU ARE
- You have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or business.
- You have 5-8 years of experience in a fully integrated manufacturing environment managing lean, continuous improvement and/or Kaizen programs and projects.
- You have a Green Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma required; Black Belt certification will be required after hire.
- You are a strong leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and you can interact with all levels of employees and outside professionals.
- You have experience with data gathering and data analysis.
- You have expertise in leading change and initiating organizational changes.
- You have demonstrated strategic agility and broad knowledge and perspective in planning future activities.
- You have excellent project management skills and ability to drive results.
- You have outstanding PC/System knowledge and skills, including the ability to build, maintain and analyze internal databases. Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Access, and project management software.
- You can consistently stand and walk on concrete floor, climb stairs, and occasionally lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

Convergix Automation Solutions is looking for a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt to join our growing team. Reporting to the VP PMO, Continuous Improvement and Quality, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing and executing Continuous Improvement activities within the Convergix suite of companies utilizing Lean Six Sigma Tools. You will manage cross-functional teams to successfully complete these initiatives. Additionally, you will facilitate for targeted actives in support of the business including but not limited to; lessons learned, value-stream mapping, rapid improvement Kaizen events and identifying and eliminating barriers to continuous improvements.
What would a typical day look like?
- Assist in the prioritization of initiatives
- Establish measurement criteria, quantify targeted results, and identify anticipated benefits
- Improve processes by eliminating waste
- Maintain Convergix database of continuous improvement initiatives
- Generating clear problem statements/gap analyses
- Identifying actionable metrics and benchmarks to track improvements
- Training and empowering each team to lead projects and work to share best practices with other Business Units
- Providing motivation, a sense of urgency, focus, and direction to team members
- Preparing and presenting regular updates summarizing project results
- Evaluating and ensuring project effectiveness
- Meet annual targets or project specific goals for cost savings that exceed this position’s annual overhead costs
- Train others (managers and individual contributors) in Lean and Six Sigma tools and methodologies with emphasis on problem identification, establishing base lines, and root cause analysis.
- Coach/mentor individuals at all levels of the company who are engaged in process improvement, problem identification and solution implementation.
- Look for and anticipate the need for improvement and serve as a catalyst for change.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships across all business functions and all levels of the organization
- Lead teams in troubleshooting and resolution of machines / systems failing to meet the contracted acceptance criteria
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel objects, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, talk and hear.
- Specific vision abilities required for the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

What qualifies you for this opportunity?
- Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience deploying Lean Six Sigma, including experience in both direct and indirect (transactional) processes
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification required

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams in the execution of Lean Six Sigma projects (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt projects).
- Identify opportunities for process improvement using Lean and Six Sigma tools and techniques.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions on Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

- Strong knowledge of manufacturing or service industry operations.
