JOB SUMMARY

The Manager, Lean Six Sigma will provide support to senior management and the Lean Six Sigma team to strategically plan, organize and implement World Class lean principles throughout the organization with strong focus on 5S+Safety and Lean Six Sigma methodology. The role will support the analysis, facilitation and reporting functions and will be responsible for driving change that will improve quality, reduce costs and establish appropriate process metrics and controls for the region (SAI, SAC, Millstone and ADC).

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• You will provide support to Senior Leadership for the development of strategic plan for implementation of a World Class Organization (WCO).
• You will develop a culture of continuous improvement. You will use data to communicate and support the opportunities that exist.
• You will provide direction, suggestions, and influence on Senior Leadership for development of strategic plan for implementation of LSS.
• You will lead training in Lean Six Sigma to create “belted” associates at SAI, SAC and Millstone.
• You will achieve identified cost savings / avoidance at SAI through the development of best practices and projects utilizing LSS methodologies.
• You will identify key improvement projects and initiatives that will deliver optimal savings in cost, quality and productivity.
• You will methodologically support various projects throughout the plant.
• You will interface with all supporting functions.
• You will train and coach staff in the use of continuous improvement and LSS tools.
• You will support leadership in the training and use of 5S+Safety and Lean Six Sigma tools and methodology.
• You will serve as a change agent to challenge the existing processes in place.
• You will provide methodological support on various projects throughout the plant.
• You will support team resources and/or facilitate Kaizen events and Lean Six Sigma projects.
• You will work in coordination with leadership to support attainment of mission goals, requirements and sustainment of the process, standards and guidelines.
• You will perform other duties as may be assigned.
• You will be responsible for leading projects (Kaizen Events) that generate targeted savings.
• You will be responsible for managing the department within the assigned budget amounts.

WHO YOU ARE

• You have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or business.
• You have 5-8 years of experience in a fully integrated manufacturing environment managing lean, continuous improvement and/or Kaizen programs and projects.
• You have a Green Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma required; Black Belt certification will be required after hire.
• You are a strong leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and you can interact with all levels of employees and outside professionals.
• You have experience with data gathering and data analysis.
• You have expertise in leading change and initiating organizational changes.
• You have demonstrated strategic agility and broad knowledge and perspective in planning future activities.
• You have excellent project management skills and ability to drive results.
• You have outstanding PC/System knowledge and skills, including the ability to build, maintain and analyze internal databases. Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Access, and project management software.
• You can consistently stand and walk on concrete floor, climb stairs, and occasionally lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

A rapidly growing organization in the Electrical Equipment Manufacturing Industry is seeking a Corporate Lean Six Sigma Black Belt based in the greater Charlotte, NC area.

Candidates Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field of study
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a lean six sigma manufacturing role
• Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
• Previous experience managing cross functional lean six sigma projects and teams in a highly automated manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) principles

Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of facility-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. This role requires a results-oriented professional with Lean Certification and PMP Certification, along with demonstrated experience managing complex projects in healthcare, public sector, or large institutional environments. The Project Manager will be responsible for optimizing project performance through Lean principles, ensuring operational efficiency, and driving continuous improvement in facility infrastructure and capital projects.

Essential Functions

• Project Management; Lead projects related to facility improvements, ensuring completion within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Lean Process Improvement; Implement Lean methodologies to enhance operational efficiency, eliminate waste, and optimize workflows.
• Capital Improvements Planning; Oversee facility infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
• Risk Management; Identify project risks, develop mitigation plans, and adjust project scope as necessary.
• Stakeholder Coordination; Work closely with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
• Data-Driven Decision Making; Utilize project management tools and KPIs to track progress, analyze performance, and recommend improvements.
• Budget & Resource Allocation; Manage project budgets, control costs, and ensure optimal resource distribution.

The Senior Lean Six Sigma Specialist has daily responsibility for reviewing, staffing, and coordinating the implementation of approved programs in accordance with established policies and procedures. Advises the DASA DEC and Director, Partner Relationship Management on all facets of program execution to enhance the overall effectiveness.

Responsibilities :

• Develop comprehensive business cases to support project prioritization and goals.
• Observes and analyzes operational processes to identify waste and inefficient steps.
• Identifies key and standard performance metrics and performs quantitative analyses to establish objective baseline performances and forecast improvement margins.

• Support Government personnel with reviewing, interpreting, and providing recommended changes to policies and implementing procedures governing the integration and execution of approved security cooperation programs.
• Support Government personnel with reviewing and staffing joint actions pertaining to Security Assistance and other issues. Contractor shall assist government personnel providing the coordinated Army position to the Director, Security Cooperation Integration for Transmittal to the Joint Staff.
• Support Government personnel with recommending/developing the Army staff position on security cooperation matters that have been elevated to Headquarters, Department of the Army for resolution.
• Prepares executive-level presentations to effectively communicate process challenges and opportunities, approach and status, and results.
• Develops and integrates metrics and KPIs that aid in monitoring the success of each project against goals. Track and monitor performance.
• Support Government personnel with reviewing and staffing joint actions pertaining to Security Assistance and other issues. Contractor shall assist government personnel in providing the coordinated Army position to the Director, Security Cooperation Integration for Transmittal to the Joint Staff.

Provide Lean Six Sigma consulting services as a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt for a DoD client in Falls Church, VA. Provide facilitation and related decision services using innovative, progressive, and results-oriented approaches for DoD engaged in collaboration efforts, working groups, or teams. Support includes but is not limited to the following services:

• Define, refine, and resolve disputes, disagreements, and divergent views;
