We're looking for a part time teacher to join our center that helps students K through 12 and beyond with all of their scholastic needs! Previous teaching experience is a plus, but not required. Experience in special education and teaching special needs students are a huge plus! We are also actively looking for a person that can teach any and all of the core sciences: Biology, Living Environment, Earth Science, Chemistry, and Physics. Experienced math teachers that can teach advanced math such as Geometry, Algebra, Calculus, and Trigonometry are always needed!

All three of the following criteria's are required to work at Huntington Learning Center, no exceptions:

  1. You must be at least 18 years of age or older.

  2. You must have legal permission to work in the United States of America.

  3. You must have at bare minimum a 4 year college degree. Associates degrees DO NOT count. Master's Degrees are more than welcome!

Must be available to work weekdays AND weekends. We are flexible to a certain extent, but we have students coming all 7 days of the week and we need to accommodate everyone as much as possible. We are open on holidays with the exception of New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.

Pay rates are between $17 and $20 an hour pending certain exams and subjects you can teach. Master's Degree automatically raises the base pay by an extra dollar per hour. Hours per week are discussed during the interview process.

Our usual teaching schedule is Monday through Friday between 3 pm and 8:30 pm. Saturdays and Sundays between 9 am and 3 pm. Each session is 2 hours long.

Participate in DCF Mandated Reporter, First Aid, and PMT training, if required.

Report any unsafe or uncomfortable working conditions to the Building Administrator immediately.

Working cooperatively with teacher and providing role model for children.
