About the Role

The Company is seeking a Head of School to provide strong leadership, administration, and management in a Montessori educational setting. The successful candidate will be tasked with upholding Montessori standards and creating a nurturing, inclusive environment for students, teachers, and staff. This role involves overseeing the academic and operational aspects of the school, including curriculum development, staff supervision, and ensuring the well-being and development of the student body. The Head of School will be responsible for a student population of approximately 130, spanning from 3K to 8th grade, and will lead a team of around 16 teachers.

  • 12 Months / Monday - Friday
  • When school is in session: 7:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
  • School recess/summer vacation: 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Reports To: School Principal, Assistant Superintendent and/or Designee Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Assist with all functions of the high school main office and guidance/special education suite.
  2. Work collaboratively and provide support to all other high school offices/departments based on need, as determined by the Principal and/or designee.
  3. Maintain files and other documents, etc. in an organized manner.
  4. Operate word processors, computers, copiers and other office machines.
  5. Assist in ordering supplies and preparing purchase orders.
  6. Perform other office functions including but not limited to receiving and routing calls, recording and delivering messages, preparing letters, forms, documents and reports as needed, etc.
  7. Assist students academically in all settings on a daily basis.
  8. Work with students, staff, and the public in a positive and professional manner.
  9. Effectively utilize Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Follett, and Skyward.
  10. Serve as the Registration Administrative Assistant at Central Office as requested. Such times shall include but are not limited to winter recess, spring recess, during Kindergarten registration (includes weekend overtime) and during summer months.
  11. Work with students, families, faculty and staff to ensure all registration packets are complete and accurate before processing registrations in Skyward.
  12. Assist Central Office staff as directed by the Assistant Superintendent and/or designee.
  13. Remain proficient and conversant with relevant District software as updated/changed.
  14. Assume other generally related responsibilities as may be assigned by the Principal, Assistant Superintendent and/or designee.
