An auto consumer warranty firm based in Century City is seeking a law clerk to join their team. This role is a great opportunity for a JD or LLM who is seeking to gain litigation experience. This is a contract-to-hire role that starts immediately.
Responsibilities
+ Provide day-to-day litigation support for a high volume of consumer warranty matters.
+ Support attorneys and law clerks in drafting legal documents.
+ Assists with the discovery process, including reviewing documents, organizing evidence, and preparing discovery responses.

The Position: The Law Clerk is primarily responsible for assisting the legal team in real estate transactions, contract reviews, policy research and updates, and other legal matters related to property management and development. A successful Law Clerk will focus on learning how our organization runs, updating our Corporate Governance, and performing various research projects.
This is a part-time, temporary position working 10 hours per week, September - January.
The compensation rate for this position is $20.00/hr, based on multiple factors including candidate education, skills, experience, and location.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Understand standards of property management including Fair Housing laws, Tenant/Landlord rights, and general real estate principles.
- Organize and maintain legal files and documentation.
- Assist in correspondence with external counsel, governmental agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Research and form company-wide policies relating to employment, record retention, etc.
- Research, make recommendations, and update Tailwind Group’s corporate governance for all legal entities and LLCs.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service during each encounter with residents, prospects, vendors, officials, and community members.
- Provide general administrative support to the legal team as assigned.
- Shadow and support with due diligence efforts for real estate acquisitions and development projects.
- Monitor regulatory compliance related to housing laws and local ordinances.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Associate General Counsel.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Must be a 2nd or 3rd year student currently enrolled in an accredited law program.
