This is a law librarian position responsible for doing various database research projects requested by the firm's attorneys, mostly from the corporate and transactional practices. Examples of research projects include online searches to gather data to benchmark certain corporate transactions (M& A, private equity & venture financings, IPOs, etc.), SEC precedents research, annual/quarterly/Section 16 reporting disclosures for public companies, legislation research for corporate advisory and compliance matters, and requests for information concerning prospective clients and market intel for business development. About the Role:

The Law Enforcement Liaison Clinician will work with core emergency services team and law enforcement to identify clients in need of services and to take a more proactive approach in meeting program demands. The overall goals are to reduce unnecessary Emergency Department utilization, assist in diverting inpatient psychiatric admissions by providing counseling and therapeutic support to clients in crisis, with the emphasis on reducing unnecessary interactions with law enforcement to decrease incarceration rates and over utilization of other Emergency personnel. This position is responsible for providing mental health crisis assessment, intervention and brief treatment services to a diverse population of clients in crisis. In addition, the crisis clinician will provide appropriate recommendations for care and linkage services for clients requiring on-going treatment.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with core crisis team and law enforcement to provide support to clients in crisis, reduce unnecessary interactions with law enforcement or the criminal justice system.
  • Collaborate with core crisis team to identify clients currently in crisis, or at risk of going into crisis, to better assess overall needs and to assist them in meeting those needs.
  • Assist in reducing unnecessary Emergency Department utilization by clients with primary mental health needs.
  • Work with Agency staff to provide appropriate level of support in an effort to reduce inpatient psychiatric admissions.
  • Proactively reach out to identified clients who are at risk of relapse or mental health crisis.
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in clinical psychology, social work or related field is preferred, Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience working in crisis, emergency room, or community-based services preferred.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of psychopathology, crisis theory and other behavioral health concerns and primary modalities of psychotherapeutic intervention.
  • Experience in crisis intervention services, risk management, assessment of suicide potential and integrated treatment for co-occurring disorders preferred.
  • Ability to join with clients and families in distress and work with them in disposition planning.
  • Must be willing to provide services in clients' homes and community settings.
  • Must be available to work shifts as assigned including overnights and weekends.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation with personal automobile liability insurance coverage at or above the levels mandated by the State of Vermont.
  • *Successful completion of a criminal history background check after hire.

Law Enforcement Deputy Sheriff:

The Buckingham County Sheriff’s Office is excited to announce open applications for the role of Law Enforcement Deputy Sheriff.

Applicants for this position must meet several criteria: they must be at least 21 years of age and need to hold a valid Virginia driver’s license. Vision requirements include a minimum standard of 20/40 in each eye, which can be corrected with lenses if necessary. Additionally, applicants should present a height and weight that is proportionate and must have completed at least a high school education or have their GED.

Candidates should either possess or be eligible for Virginia law enforcement officer certification; preference will be granted to those with current Virginia certification.

As part of the application process, candidates will undergo a comprehensive background check and will need to consent to drug testing.

Starting salary $49,000 for pre-certified officers and $9,000 for certified applicants.

Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Law Enforcement Officer Trainee - Boca Raton, FL.
Responsibilities:
+ Provides safety and security presence for university property by application of conscientious vehicle, bicycle and foot patrol functions on a 12 hour shift basis.
+ Responds and investigates crimes reported, vehicle accidents, medical emergencies, fires, safety hazards, fire and security alarms received and all other occurrences within the scope of the department's responsibilities and mission. Prepares departmental, county and state forms as required.
+ Enforces applicable University policies, State Criminal Code and Statutes governing state traffic laws. Issues appropriate citations, student referrals and/or effects arrests as necessary in the performance of these law enforcement duties.
+ Renders informational services to members of the University community and visitors, assists motorists experiencing vehicle problems, provides dignitary protection, and handles traffic control and parking directions for a variety of educational, cultural and athletic events held on campus.
+ Conducts security and safety checks of university buildings, student housing and university grounds. Secures and opens buildings at scheduled times and upon request of authorized persons. Provides a university crime prevention function through CEPED, active shooter training, and other safety related programs.
+ Performs all other duties as directed or as necessary which are similar and related assignments.
