Job Description

The Legal Counsel - Information Technology will focus on providing legal counsel (as a key business partner) and subject matter expertise to Goodyear's Global Information Technology (IT) organization and support other business and/or technology units with IT contracting and other IT related issues as needed. This position will serve as the single point-of-contact to the IT team (working closely with other relevant inhouse counsels) to advise Goodyear on areas relating to IT, Intellectual Property (IP), data security, privacy, policy compliance, and related contracts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Draft, negotiate and manage a wide array of agreements (including procurement, service, software license, partnership, platform, strategic collaboration, pilot, non-disclosure and testing agreements), including all US and US-based global agreements for the IT organization and for other organizations such as marketing and HR to the extent they involve IT services.
+ Work closely on IT contracting matters with various procurement teams responsible for IT, marketing and other functions, with the IT vendor management team, with the Contracting Center of Excellence, and with other attorneys who support particular lines of business.
+ Serve as the primary legal point-of-contact for designated technology/business units. Develop and advise on strategies and risk mitigation. Review, revise and advise on IT policies and standards. Provide day-to-day IT legal counsel and support. Support IT litigation/disputes.
+ Partner with stakeholders to develop/implement best practices and process improvements for contracting, sourcing, vendor optimization and risk management.
+ Develop/Update agreement templates and playbooks to drive cross-functional efficiencies. Provide periodic training in contracting, compliance, IP and other areas.
+ Work with IP counsel/stakeholders to implement and execute IP strategy for the IT team.
+ Work with privacy/security counsel and other compliance team members to implement and execute policy and legal compliance initiatives.
+ Manage external resources and work with outside counsel (as needed) to ensure efficient/timely completion of tasks.
+ Provide support for IT and IT contracting aspects of divestitures and acquisitions.

**Position Specific Description**
The Knowledge Management Specialist role works to drive adoption and impact of the enterprise knowledge platform. They will do this by curating high-quality content, engaging the user community, and enabling knowledge transfer through structured change management and training. Ensuring business units actively use the platform to capture, share, and apply knowledge.
The position's responsibilities include working with employees at all levels across the enterprise to sustain and grow the company's Knowledge Sharing (KS) program. This individual will lead the activities associated with creating and launching new Knowledge Sharing Networks (Communities of Practice) and maintaining and continuously improving existing networks. The position serves as the primary Knowledge Management contact for executive sponsors and leaders of the various networks. This employee is also responsible for leading working sessions with network leaders and core team members to assess current levels of value to identify and champion opportunities for business impact.
**Specific Responsibilities Include:**
+ Maintain, validate, tag knowledge assets. Generate and implement ideas that will help continuously improve the knowledge sharing program and its KPIs. Conduct quarterly KPI/progress reviews with leaders; support at least two cross-functional KM initiatives annually.
+ Develop and publish regular communication to and from the platform with companywide stakeholders; work closely with the Marketing and Communications department to spearhead general promotions and communication campaign
+ Design and implement change management plans for major enhancements, issue timely communications for all platform updates; Lead the design, development, and deployment of KS related trainings and material as needed.
+ Monitor and resolve network issues within; complete quarterly network health checks and analyze to solve problems and launch improved functionality.
+ Collaborate on an on-going basis with end users, internal stakeholders and KS IT Systems programmer(s) and team.
**Capabilities**
+ Strong skills in knowledge management practices, content governance, and taxonomy design.
+ Demonstrated experience in community engagement and change management communications.
