Mandarich Law Group, LLP is a creditors' rights law firm located in Las Vegas, NV.  We are looking for great people to bring their passion and strong work ethic to the job. Currently we have an opening for a Legal Manager to work on a team that will focus on follow-ups and account closures.

This a full-time, exempt position. Base schedule is Monday thru Friday 8AM to 5PM. In-office.

What You'll Do:

  • Supervise filing and service of all lawsuits including request for entry of default process
  • Knowledge of Nevada civil procedure. Other States is a plus (OR, WA, HI, AK, ID, IL).
  • Setting up processes for workflow in the most efficient cost-effective way as possible.
  • Manage team.
  • Implement Performance Improvement plans for non-performing staff.
  • Implement performance measurement system for staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum: High school diploma. Preferred: bachelor’s or Paralegal Certificate
  • 2-5 years of management experience.
  • Prior law firm experience.
  • Process Master of workflows is a must.
  • Knowledge of the FDCPA is a plus.
  • Self-motivated
  • Able to perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Great organizational skills
  • Must be a team player

Role:As Legal Operations Manager, you are responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the processes, tools, and resources that enable the legal function to operate efficiently, effectively, and in alignment with business objectives. Responsibilities:

Supervise, mentor, and manage a team of staff attorneys to ensure adherence to standardized procedures.

Assign casework, monitor performance, and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.

Provide ongoing training and professional development for the Operations Division.

Help oversee litigation strategy related to property insurance claims.

Review and approve legal correspondence and complex legal settlement agreements.

Maintain awareness of changes in insurance laws and public adjusting rules across jurisdictions.

Ensure the company complies with all state and federal regulations governing public adjusting and legal practice.

Uphold ethical practices and manage conflicts of interest.

Participate in cross departmental strategic planning, budgeting, and process improvement initiatives.

Ensure the legal team provides exceptional internal service with a strong focus on advocacy and results.

Implement, measure, and get live reporting on KPIs for the team.

Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Active license to practice law in California; multi-state licensure a plus.

Minimum of 7 years experience in legal operations, preferably with experience in insurance law, civil litigation, and/or public adjusting.

Proven experience overseeing property insurance claims litigation is preferred.

Strong leadership, mentorship, and team development skills.

High-level organizational and case management abilities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Identify & develop LPM best practices, templates, tools & checklists to improve client service.
  • Review & test legal technology options, while ensuring data governance and security.
  • Support matter teams in responding to a client's request for proposal (RFP) - including scoping and estimating a matter, drafting example LPM documents and creating a transparent communications and project plan catered to a client's needs.
  • Manage matters to project plans, with status reports, workstream, deadline & budget tracking.
  • Provide financial projections and recommend action for changes in scope, time and cost.
  • Actively collect/store feedback from matter teams/clients with the goal of continuous improvement.
  • Act as an on-demand consultant to matter & admin teams for best practice guidance, innovative improvements and efficiency recommendations.
  • Utilize genAI to gain efficiencies in daily tasks.
  • Maintain repository for client Outside Counsel Guidelines (OCGs), create OCG summaries and update database / billing system with OCG rules.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proactive, self-learner who is motivated & results-oriented with a positive, team-player attitude.
  • Comprehension of/experience with law firm financial metrics and alternative fee arrangements.
  • Knowledge of Aderant.
  • Intermediate/Advanced experience with SQL.

The Legal Project Manager is responsible for supporting the Legal Operations team and the Strategic Pricing team in the implementation of the Husch Blackwell LPM Program Standards.   • Assist attorneys in defining client value perspective.
  • Identify and evaluate market trends and opportunities with respect to legal service delivery models, cost structures and client service; identify factors affecting our delivery of value on client engagements and propose/coach attorneys on methods to improve.
  • Responsible for the statistical analysis and development of task-based billing trend reports. Work closely with attorneys and the pricing team to propose and implement appropriate fee arrangements based on quantitative data.
  • Direct & coordinate with Practice Specialty Center (PSC) Leaders on the implementation of efficient processes associated with the most commonly-used matter types.
  • Assist PSC leaders in identifying unprofitable matter types and propose solutions for improvement.
  • Collaborate internally and with clients and their support teams to implement processes and address clients needs, ensuring a seamless relationship; coordinate the administrative oversight of legal project management initiatives for clients.
  • Organize and conduct client (and client team) LPM meetings, provide documentation and implementation support to achieve defined objectives.
  • Support Client Service Team efforts related to LPM, pricing, process improvement and related client technology.
  • Assist in firmwide LPM training efforts including co-conducting workshops, PSC presentations, Strategic Business Unit (SBU) presentations and client team presentations.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and piloting innovative legal technologies and process enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities for streamlining the legal service delivery process through technology improvements, business process reengineering or other approaches. Partner with internal support teams to design, build and implement innovative solutions.
  • Lead or participate in change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of new tools, processes, or client service models.
  • Supervise ongoing development of client budgets and monthly tracking of actual performance against budgets to assist with internal and external client management.
  • Regularly assist or present to internal groups on legal project management, pricing, profitability, and law firm economics.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelors degree with major coursework in Accounting or Finance required; Masters Degree or Juris Doctorate in related field preferred or commensurate professional and educational experience.
  • 7 years of progressive expertise in related area required.
  • Substantial experience in the area of project management, implementation of project management disciplines, and direct work with partner-level client managers required; experience in an LLP partnership structure strongly preferred.
  • Robust knowledge of legal staffing, budgeting, profit modeling and project management tools required; ability to identify clients value perspective and assist partners in aligning their legal service delivery to that perspective.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret information from a variety of sources, apply critical and creative thinking to draw conclusions or develop solutions to complex problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships across multiple levels within an organization.
  • Familiarity with data warehouse extraction and budget platforms required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in all Microsoft office products, specifically Excel and MS Project or similar Project Management software.

Compensation And Benefits

Employees are entitled to compensation commensurate with skill and experience. The exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, location, and other factors permitted by law . The expected compensation ranges for this position in various states and jurisdictions are as follows:

  • State of California: $94,000 - $80,000
  • State of Colorado: 87,000 - 155,000

The above salaries do not include a discretionary bonus, however bonus opportunities are non-guaranteed, and are dependent upon individual and firm performance. * Provide organizational and analytical support to legal teams for various types of matters throughout the engagement.

* Ensure that internal stakeholders are receiving timely, accurate and professionally presented budgets and progress reports.

* Provide support and guidance to attorneys who are preparing for post-matter reviews with internal teams or clients.

* Consistently deliver elevated experiences for attorneys and clients. Take ownership of issues, resolve them to completion, overcome obstacles and impediments to extraordinary service and minimize the efforts for attorneys and the client.

* As requested, educate clients on Lathrop GPMs Legal Project Management Program. This will often include training client staff on how best to collaborate with us on LPM initiatives.

* Collaborate with Client & Practice Innovation Team in developing project management training for attorneys and paralegals.

* Collaborate with attorneys and staff to find efficiencies in processes related to client matters.

* Train, coach and mentor the attorney team in legal project management tools, methods, and best practices.

* Develop and present communications of legal project management successes for use in internal communications, client pitches and RFPs.

* Stay abreast of trends in legal project management and communicate learnings to firm as appropriate.

Requirements
