Summary
Responsible for processing, reviewing and funding new loan packages presented to the Credit Union for funding by approved dealers. Establish new membership, implement and develop plan to increase our product penetration.
- Responsible for reviewing the file and completing a pre-audit of the loan documents and determining if the loan is ready to close.
- Accountable for verifying residency and income information before funding packages
- Assure that all underwriting conditions are met prior to funding.
- Conducts over the phone interview with applicant to determine authenticity of transaction
- Verify and determine calculation when it pertains to dealer reserves, Loan to values, payments (Reg Z) and communicates errors to dealer and or applicant by mail/phone
- Handle and reconcile general ledgers pertinent to dealer reserves and Indirect lending process
- Verify applicant via EFunds/FIS to authenticate applicant
- Follow up with dealer, for missing loan documentation and information.
- Process and certify special loan financing programs.
- Prepare all dealers loan packages for final approval, processing and funding.
- Perform new account opening and all other related functions.
- Mail required disclosure to member.
- Adhere to merchandising, telephone and other professional standards as established by Credit Union.
- Handle inquiries, concerns and request from members and dealers, and communicate to higher authority, when necessary.
- Cross sell additional products via mail/phone
- Assist with incoming phone calls for both Indirect Lending/Consumer Lending
- Compile daily tracking detail report and follow-up on files when needed
- Prepare monthly indirect lending report.

- Ability to build effective relationship with existing and potential members and dealers.

The ideal candidate needs to have a strong understanding of underwriting and the ability to effectively lead a team of underwriters. Effective communication and collaboration are required to ensure team's underwriting and customer service levels are met; monitor credit quality and ensure team's compliance with appropriate policies and regulations.
**In the Role**
+ Accountable for underwriters maintaining service levels.
+ Provide excellent customer service to loan originating sources including Dealers and internal partners by understanding their service needs and finding opportunities to continuously improve quality and turnaround time.
+ In control of production, efficiency, quality, and receivables booked by their team of underwriters.
+ Review exceptions and complex applications outside underwriters' authority.
+ Ensure underwriters are producing high quality loans and compliant for state pricing guidelines and exception requests.
+ Ensure underwriters' quality of bookings and risk versus reward are aligned with OneMain's risk appetite.
+ Responsible for driving a strategy for a team of underwriters to meet production and customer service expectations.
+ Conduct regular internal management reviews of applications and loans to ensure the underwriters are approving the right business and not missing potential business.
+ Lead reviews to ensure alignment in team's judgment with OneMain's risk appetite and monitor credit quality.
+ Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of OneMain's policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws.

**Qualifications**
+ 10+ years' experience in UHNW lending origination and credit analysis in a private bank
+ Expert knowledge in Commercial Real Estate, Private Equity and Private Stock financing preferred
+ Ability to advise clients and where appropriate creatively structure sophisticated solutions to help clients meet their objectives
+ Experience with assessing and structuring loans secured by a variety of asset classes including complex marketable securities loans and less liquid financial assets, commercial real estate to more bespoke personal assets such as aviation, fine art and collectibles.
+ Ability to advise clients on optimal loan structure and think creatively in delivering market leading solutions.

In the Role
Deliver results related to individual and branch sales goals as well as customer expectations
Develop new relationships – and maintain existing relationships - working with customers throughout the loan process and loan life cycle
Present financial solutions, based on customer needs, that meet their goals
Present customers with optional insurance products
Educate customers on the terms and conditions of their loan to ensure a clear understanding
Learn how to utilize credit underwriting techniques and sales tools
Manage the life cycle of the loan, including collections activities, complying with all laws and regulations
Requirements:
HS Diploma/GED
Preferred:
Sales, Collections or Customer Service experience
Bilingual - Spanish
