The Mental Health Therapist provides therapeutic services to individuals, families, and children in clinical or school settings. This role involves conducting comprehensive assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, and delivering ongoing therapy to address emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. The therapist works collaboratively with clients, families, school staff, and interdisciplinary teams to promote mental health, emotional well-being, and academic success.
The therapist will provide individual therapy, as well as crisis intervention and care coordination. In the school setting, this role emphasizes early intervention, support for academic and social-emotional development, and collaboration with educators to ensure students’ needs are met.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ellie Mental Health was founded in 2015 by Erin Pash, LMFT and Kyle Keller, LICSW when they opened the first Ellie clinic in Minneapolis. Our Therapists will:
Collaborate and be an active part of a team family, while also supporting your autonomy, flexibility, determination, and authenticity in individual work
Opportunities to provide individual, family, group therapies, as well as Telehealth services
Be of diverse identities, cultures, experiences
Evaluate mental health diagnosis, create, and implement a treatment plan, complete ongoing documentation including further diagnosis, treatment plan reviews, and case notes according to company policy
Provide excellent customer service for clients and collaborate with a dynamic team to further the mission of filling gaps in our community
Utilize creativity in interventions to help clients achieve and exceed goals
Prepare and submit individual documentation for each session per company guidelines and protocol
Meet and complete a required minimum of 25 client sessions per week (scheduling 32) on full-time basis for better work-life balance
Coordinate services with case managers, families, work personnel, medical personnel, other Ellie staff, and school staff as needed
Attend and participate in all clinical staff meetings and trainings

Required Qualifications and Skills:
Candidates are required to have an active NJ license (LMFT/LAMFT, LPC/LAC, LCSW/LSW)
Candidates are required to have a master’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university
Minimum of one year work experience under their clinical licensure (LMFT/LAMFT, LPC/LAC, LCSW/LSW)
Experience with completing DAs, treatment plans and clinical progress notes
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to demonstrate and model stable, appropriate boundaries with clients
Ability to complete and submit documentation of services and other documents in a timely manner
Comfort and familiarity working with a diverse client base
Proficient in the use of Office 365 and Electronic Health Record systems (Valant experience a plus!)
