**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled and motivated **Experienced Ski Lift Mechanic** to join our Lift Maintenance team. The successful candidate will be hired into an **Intermediate or Advanced role** based on experience, technical proficiency, and leadership ability. This position plays a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all aerial and surface lift systems across the resort.
**Job Specifications:**

**Job Responsibilities:**
+ Perform routine and preventative maintenance on chairlifts, gondolas, and surface lifts

+ Complete accurate and timely maintenance logs and inspection documentation
+ Ensure work complies with ANSI B77.1, OSHA regulations, local regulations and Vail Resorts safety standards, policies and procedures
+ Work collaboratively with Lift Operations and Mountain Operations departments
+ Safely operate resort vehicles including snowmobiles and UTVs to access lift locations
+ Support seasonal projects such as rope inspections, load tests, and tower work

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures safe and reliable mechanical operation of lifts.
- Responsible for following the company's safety and risk management policies and procedures
- Responsible for performance and scheduling of all preventative maintenance procedures
- Must assist in troubleshooting all "down" lifts
- Responsible for assuring that the Maintenance Mgr., Lead, and Lift Dispatch is immediately informed and consulted about all abnormal or unusual conditions, incidents, observations, or system malfunctions.
- Respond, as assigned, to lift failures to productively resolve these situations in a timely manner
- Responsible for maintaining all tools, equipment, and vehicles as assigned
- Must be able to evacuate a lift under auxiliary power in all circumstances
- Assist in the ongoing training of lift maintenance personnel
- Provide superior service to our guests (internal and external) at all times. Interact with the guests and respond to all guests in a courteous, efficient manner
- Responsible for recording all information of work performed on lifts and submitting to lift records in a timely manner

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Diagnose, inspect, repair all company owned Powered Industrial Equipment. Including but not limited to hi-los, switcher truck and company vehicles.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Will be responsible for repairs and preventative maintenance on every piece of equipment within the facility.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES / EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Must be familiar with both hand and power tools necessary to complete work in this field. Company will provide large tools and equipment, but not normal hand tools up to 1 ½ “in size.
- Must be able to run overhead cranes and misc. maintenance equipment.
- Must be to troubleshoot all aspects of an industrial truck. Including, but not limited to, fuel systems (propane, gasoline, and diesel), hydraulic systems, electronics and mechanical units.
- Must be able to attach and read any necessary testing equipment.
- Repairs will range from changing head lights to complete overhauls, or anything in between.
- Must be able to follow preventative maintenance procedures as directed, along with suggesting changes to procedures if needed.
- Will be responsible for tracking and maintaining all parts in storage.
- Must be able to diagnose problems, followed by finding necessary parts needed for repair from equipment manuals. Will be expected to turn in parts list to Maintenance Manager for each repair.
- Will be required to check in/out any rental equipment as needed.
- Must be able to lift, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel, stand or walk continuously in close, confined surroundings.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Must have good attendance record: 2.0 or better.
- Minimum 4 years relevant experience, with documentation.
- Will have to pass entry level mechanical testing.
- Must be able to work mandatory OT as required 6-7 days per week.

- Basic understanding of A.N.S.I. B77.1-2017.
- Level II magnetic particle NDT certified.
- Riggers card.
- OHSA 10 card.
- Pneumatic and Hydraulic system experience.
Hourly pay rate: $20.70 to $35.58
