Job Description: This is a dual leadership position where you will be responsible for both supervising staff and operating heavy equipment during snow events. As the Site Lead Supervisor and Lead Operator, you will help manage operations for the Grayslake, IL area, working closely with the Branch Manager to ensure all tasks are completed from planning to post-season site closure. You will lead and supervise operators and laborers.
Job Objective: Assist the Branch Manager and take the lead on operations at First Choice Facilities’ Grayslake, IL site. From preparation to end-of-season shutdown, maintain the First Choice Facilities standards and expectations of quality.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain First Choice Facilities' standard of work at client sites before and during severe winter weather, ensuring high attention to detail and safe work conditions.
- Assist with hiring, training, and managing the local workforce to fulfill client obligations pre, post, and during winter storm operations.
- Lead dispatching personnel using software platforms, texting, and phone calls.
- Work with local vendors or self-perform preventative maintenance and necessary repairs, including minor on-site repairs if necessary.
- Communicate field conditions and job updates frequently with account management staff.
- Operate heavy equipment (wheel loaders, skid steers) to remove snow and ice efficiently and safely from client properties, roadways, and other designated areas.
- Perform routine pre- and post-trip inspections of heavy equipment, checking lights, brakes, fluids, and plow or salter functionality, and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including dates, times, areas cleared, and materials used with the First Choice service verification app.
- Coordinate with other heavy equipment operators, maintenance crews, and support staff to ensure efficient snow removal efforts across designated service areas and client properties.
- Operate auxiliary equipment, such as salt spreaders, articulating wing plows, push boxes, and de-icing equipment, as necessary to enhance property safety.
Requirements:
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Mechanically inclined with site management operations experience required.
- Strong interpersonal communication and critical thinking skills.
- experience in the snow and ice management industry.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy equipment operation and/or snow and ice management.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel).
- High school education or equivalent.
- Must be able to lift or move at least 50 lbs. frequently to service job-site needs.
- Willingness to work long hours as needed to fulfill client contracts or emergency services during severe winter weather or normal outside conditions.
- The position is currently work-from-jobsite and requires reporting to sites for winter events and field operations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on weather conditions.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.

Essential Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate D9 / 10 dozers equipped with GPS to meet production targets.
- Conduct pre-trip and walk-around safety inspections, completing daily Field Level Hazard Assessments.
- Maintain heavy equipment in optimal operating condition by monitoring shanks, rollers, and undercarriage wear, and promptly reporting any maintenance issues.
- Demonstrate familiarity with managing dumps and maintaining leach fields and berms.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with team members.
- Lead by example in safety and productivity, ensuring compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of dozer operation experience in a surface mining environment.
- Knowledge of safe and productive operation of heavy mining equipment.
- Current MSHA p.48 surface, metal/nonmetal certification is an asset.
Work Conditions
- Project to commence October 2025.
- Work schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off; Monday to Friday with weekends off.
- Site-based position with the opportunity for long-term employment.
- Night shift opportunities may also be available.

The Lift Experience Team's mission is to provide employees and guests with a seamless end-to-end experience from maze entrance to lift unloading. As a Lift Operator on the Lift Experience team, you are the copilot and concierge responsible for the safe operation of a multi-million-dollar machine. You are responsible for the safety and friendly, and efficient travel of our guests and fellow teammates as they navigate premier mountain terrain. **Job Specifications:**
+ Starting Wage: $20/hr
+ Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2025/2026
+ Shift Type: Full Time and Part Time hours available
+ Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age
+ Skill Level: Entry Level
+ Housing Availability: Yes
**Job Responsibilities:**
+ Continuously monitor the safety of passengers while providing instruction and customer service in the safe loading and unloading of lifts; manage the speed of lift as needed
+ Operate lift to ensure that optimal chair capacity is achieved as determined by Lift Experience guidelines and performance reporting
+ Proactively notify maintenance/dispatch of repair or maintenance needs
+ Work closely with the Lift Maintenance department to learn the proper operation of lift equipment
+ Implement emergency procedures as required, including contacting Patrol
+ Ensure lift is ready for operations prior to set up of maze; set up/disassemble lift maze daily according to maze standards
+ Follow and perform all company and departmental policies and procedures
+ Maintain a safe work area and cleanliness of lift shacks; remove trash when necessary
+ A Lift operator team member is a flexible employee within the Lift Experience department who takes on additional training to support ticket scanning
+ Other duties as assigned
**Job Requirements:**
+ No experience is necessary, we train all lift operators (including returnees)
+ Must be able to make quick decisions/use considerable judgment regarding safety as well as multitask and anticipate issues
+ Must be physically capable of assisting guests while loading lifts; may lift up to 40 lbs
+ Must be able to work outdoors in all types of inclement weather, standing and moving for entire shift on potentially slippery or uneven surfaces.
+ Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed
+ Must be able to handle high guest volumes in a professional manner
+ Must be willing to perform alternate functions from time to time, both within and outside of the assigned area, particularly during peak periods such as holiday weekends
The expected pay range is $20/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
