Working closely with the sales department, Project Estimators are responsible from the beginning of a project, leading the process of project estimation, system design and budgeting of public bid, design build, and Turn-Key projects.

Reports to: Director of Project Delivery

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the accurate take-off and estimation of public bid, design-build, and fixture package projects.
  • Prepare estimating work up sheets for both private and public bid projects.
  • Produce Bill of Materials, product data sheet sets, and proposal documents for the outside sales team.
  • Track bid dates and project bid schedule.
  • Assist with the registration of projects with vendors.
  • Assist sales team with identifying and qualifying a job before starting a workup.
  • Review and interpret detailed job specifications and scope of responsibility for public bid estimates.
  • Research, Identify, and source products that are required for the estimate but not in our current price lists.

Qualifications and Education:

  • Degree in technical theatre, project management, construction management, or related field or commensurate experience in a related industry
  • Experience with theatrical power systems, controls, and fixtures is required.
  • Must have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Must have excellent customer service skills (both written and verbal).
  • Must have good organizational skills, being prompt and accurate in providing estimates for all project opportunities.
  • Must be able to pass 5-panel drug screen.
