JOB SUMMARY:

The Linux Systems Engineer will have expert level experience in configuration and operational support of RHEL servers in an AWS EC2 environment and will help contribute to an integrated team environment with other systems, software, and specialty engineers to develop solutions that includes a background in all aspects of the systems engineering in a cloud environment. You will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security. Responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems; especially multi-user computer systems in a cloud environment.

This position will be filled and worked onsite in Washington DC, Warrenton, VA or Fairfax, VA.

SALARY: $120,000-$45,000

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Configuration and operational support of RHEL servers in an AWS EC2 environment
• Install Linux and Windows servers in a virtualized environment, troubleshoot hardware/software installation and basic networking issues
• Setting up and managing Linux and Windows systems, applications and environments and ensuring those systems comply with government security standards

This position is a part of a US-based operations team backed by expert international developers and application engineers. You will be directly involved in systems planning, installation, commissioning, site surveys, and troubleshooting for custom solutions serving the US national security community and allies. A Linux Systems Engineer is responsible for building and automating performant and resilient infrastructure that our business depends on. The likely salary range for this position is $133,369 - $180,441. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
