**The Opportunity**
We are currently seeking a talented Litigation Manager position on our Enterprise Litigation team in San Antonio, Texas.
As a dedicated Litigation Manager, you will lead and guide outside counsel in crafting litigation strategy on sophisticated cases. Collaborates and facilitates cross-functional teams in the strategy development and implementation of litigation solution. Guides the business on strategy in the pursuit of case resolution and offers business solutions to lead litigation risk.
We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be **in the office 4 days per week.** This position will be based at our San Antonio, TX corporate location. Relocation assistance is **not** available for this position.
**What you'll do:**
+ Responsible for managing legal cases considered high profile, high exposure, which may involve EC and/or BoD awareness and/or potential for significant enterprise impact.
+ Participates in formulating, communicating, and briefing case strategy to internal legal team and/or business leaders.
+ Prepares case evaluations and requests for settlement authority in cases with potential for significant enterprise impact.
+ Research moderately complex to complex cases and integrates information. Forms responses and submits responses to legal and regulatory requests.
+ Conducts case activities to include investigating case facts, creating a litigation plan, reviewing and revising pleadings, and representing USAA at mediations and trials.
+ Reviews and analyzes files, policies, company documents, and witnesses to evaluate exposure, respond to discovery requests and aid outside and in house counsel in case strategy. Analyzes demographic or statistical data to mitigate risk.
+ Participates in the legal discovery process including preparing materials for production, deposition preparation sessions and depositions, and assisting in identification and preparation of witnesses for depositions and trials.
+ Creates Legal Hold documents and monitors the EDiscovery process to ensure USAA is compliant with State and Federal Rules.
+ Identifies opportunities, synthesizes analyses, identifies root cause(s), and provides recommendations that influence litigation case solutions.
+ Acts as a liaison with internal and external counsel, management, and other external parties. Applies proficient knowledge of litigation and its processes.
+ Provides input and expertise on cases within a single CoSA and may assist on cases impacting multiple CoSAs.
+ Under minimal attorney supervision, researches, forms responses, and submits to legal and regulatory requests.
+ Provides insight on issues and process improvements.
+ Serves as a resource to team members, others in General Counsel, and business clients.
+ Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
**What you have:**
+ Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum required) may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
+ 4 years experience in litigation as a paralegal handling complex litigation or relevant work.
+ Proficient knowledge of relevant statutes, case law and regulations in relevant discipline.
+ Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
+ Proficient knowledge of relevant enterprise discipline (labor & employment, or P&C, Bank, etc).
**What sets you apart:**
+ Four plus years of active participation in mediations, depositions, witness preparations, contested judicial hearings, and trials.
+ Experience with multiple litigation areas (examples: First-party insurance bad faith arising out of property and auto claims, class actions, or other complex commercial litigation).
+ Experience with e-Discovery and litigation holds.
+ Experience with case strategy development and implementation of litigation solutions.
+ US military experience with skills related to one of the following MOS's: Navy (Legalman (LN), Marines (4402, 4405, 4406,4410, 4411, 4417), Army (27A/270A), 51JX / 5J0X1.
**Compensation range:** The salary range for this position is: $77, 120- $147,390.00

Job Description
LHH is helping a growing, large law firm located in downtown Dallas, TX, add to their headcount another Senior Litigation Paralegal. You must be comfortable working in a team-based, task oriented environment and not assigned to an attorney or cases.
Benefits:
- Salary ranges from $100,000 - $25,000 DOE
- Paid Parking by firm
- Standard benefits package including health insurance, 401K, and paid time off
Requirements:
- Proficient in Relativity, DISCO, Aderant, Lexis Nexis, Westlaw, and iManage
- Strong tenure; no job-hoppers (prefers candidates with longer stays at prior firms)
- Commercial/business litigation experience
- Proven trial experience
- Team player with collaborative mindset
- Professional integrity and ability to lead over time
Duties:
- Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial and post-trial appeals.
- Conduct legal research and gather, organize, and analyze case materials, including discovery responses, medical records, and depositions.
- Draft, proofread, and finalize pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and other legal documents.
- Prepare and file documents in state and federal courts, adhering to all applicable rules and deadlines.
- Manage large document productions, including organizing and reviewing e-discovery using litigation support software.
- Coordinate with experts, witnesses, and vendors, as well as schedule depositions, hearings, and trials.
- Maintain case files, manage & docket deadlines, and ensure compliance with court calendars and case timelines.
- Provide trial support, including preparing exhibits and trial notebooks and coordinating logistics.
- Travel to trial locations as needed to support attorneys during all phases of trial preparation and proceedings.
