This role exists to provide the Entertainment Department with quality sound technicians for shows in order to provide Park Guests with a high-quality entertainment experience.

Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Mix sound for stage shows
- Reset stages for next show
- Changing stage sets for different shows
- Routine maintenance and upkeep of audio system and related components
- Wear Dollywood Entertainment provided costume or uniform
- Keep work area orderly, neat, safe, and well maintained
- Assist in other areas of the Entertainment Division as directed
- Drive company vehicles (cars, vans, non-commercial trucks) to transport personnel and/or supplies
Management reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any time
Education and Experience Required
- Must have experience mixing and supporting live theatrical sound
- Must be able to operate audio system in a safe manner
- Must be able to operate a computer
- Must possess a valid Tennessee driver's license and auto insurance

Summary:
The Sound Engineer/Audio Technician will work with the Production Team to supply superior sound reinforcement for our clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary audio engineer and board operator for selected events.
- Troubleshooting and repair of all audio equipment.
- Installs and strikes audio equipment as required by the various events.
- Inspects and evaluates all audio equipment to determine effectiveness and general usage.
- Advises management of improvements needed and recommends purchases when necessary.
- Participates in all stage related duties including orchestra shell sets, lighting hangs, stage set-ups, stage changeovers and all stage related duties as per the PM.
- Provides additional support as needed for all shows.

Working with our local crew teams, you'll ensure that our Sofar shows sound incredible and artists sets go off without a hitch. During that period of time, you are expected to work consistent shifts (2-4 per month depending on show volume) and bring your own gear to shows, including PA and mixer. What This Person Will Do- Execute lighting and sound adjustments to ensure the show follows the agreed terms in the contract
- Work with the production team to solve any production issues that may arise at any point during a show's timeline
- Work with artists, tour crews, and artist manager to ensure proper communication and successful shows
- Assist with load-in and out of all equipment
- Ensure proper maintenance, care, and handling of all production equipment
- Follow company protocol as communicated by venue management
- All other duties as assigned
- Applicable experience and interest in working with sound and light production equipment
- Ability to work independently and solve problems using sound decision-making skills
- Ability to learn and work within systems such as MS Office, ticketing software, and other company software

Job Description
The primary role of this position is to be the lead audio engineer for the Classroom AV Services department. As part of the Engineering Team of Classroom AV Services, this position will work to research, design, and deploy audio solutions that meet the needs of the spaces serviced by Classroom AV Services. This position will act as the main DSP programmer for the department and ensure that all audio systems are of peak quality at all times. This position will assist in the installation of AV systems with a focus on the audio solutions of the project. The audio solutions in question could be installed or portable and include DSPs, microphones, amplifiers, speakers, source audio, and conferencing audio. This position will be the main audio technician for any live events supported by the department including the Board of Visitors meetings. This position will act as a Tier 3 Technician to Tier 1 and 2 support staff for the department. As such, this position will troubleshoot any issues reported by those staff and find a resolution to the issue ASAP. Should the issue be related to product failure, the person in this position will be responsible for swapping out the faulty product with a working unit and testing the system for full functionality. All issues and work performed should be tracked within the department's ticketing system. Further, any product inventory updates should be reflected in the department's asset management solution.
Required Qualifications
Several years experience in the AV industry
Experience with installed audio solutions
Experience with live audio production
Experience with programming audio DSPs from QSC (Q-Sys) and BiAmp
Basic knowledge of AV signal flow
Working knowledge of Dante, AES67, gain structure, acoustics, RF frequencies, and equalization strategies
Demonstrated ability in troubleshooting AV components and systems
Experience with various web-conferencing, live streaming, and lecture capture applications/hardware
Ability to operate comfortably in high stress environments
Demonstrated ability work within a team and independently to achieve goals
Must be able to move or lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Must be able to work from ladders or scaffolding as required
Valid driver's license

Experience in higher education
Experience providing rapid and effective support to end users
Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form
Experience with Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android computer systems

- Oversee and manage all aspects of live sound engineering for various events, from setup to tear-down.
- Set up, operate, and maintain professional audio equipment, including digital and analog mixing consoles, microphones, PA systems, monitors, and effects processors.
