The Learning Management Systems (LMS) Administrator provides technical leadership of the Talent and Development team's LMS. This position is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and analyzing content, assets, and other resources managed by the T&D team in the LMS.

Required experiences:

  • Work on assignments dealing with the routine and daily operation, use, and configuration of the LMS
  • Upload and test new learning content (eLearning modules, documents, etc.), edit and revise existing content as needed
  • Understand existing content and make learning recommendations based on identified needs
  • Build out curriculum and programs as needed
  • Accurately pull and manage reports, provide data analysis as needed

  • Bachelor's degree, certification in adult learning technology, or in lieu of education, 6+ years experience in adult learning technology or related field is required.
  • 3+ years of experience in LMS management is required.
  • Adult learning technology and/or content management experience with Cornerstone is preferred.
Compensation Range: The annual salary range for this role is: $0-$56,000. Compensation

The overall salary range for this role is $54,900 - $02,120. For candidates residing in:

  • Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia the salary range is 60,390 - 93,610
  • New York City, Newark, San Jose, or San Francisco the salary range is 65,880 - 102,120
  • All other locations the salary range is 54,900 - 85,100.

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS** **:**
1. LMS Administration and Configuration:
+ Administer the Workday Learning Management System, managing user roles, permissions, and security settings.
+ Configure system settings and maintain LMS functionality to meet organizational needs.
+ Conduct system audits and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
2. Curriculum and Course Management:
+ Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to gather requirements and design learning programs, curriculum structures, and certifications.
+ Manage and configure course content, learning assignments, assessments, and learning pathways.
+ Coordinate system updates to incorporate Workday releases and new features that enhance the learning experience.
3. Operational Support and Troubleshooting:
+ Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement.
+ Troubleshoot system issues and provide end-user support, addressing inquiries and resolving technical problems.
+ Train system users on LMS functionalities to ensure effective utilization.
4. Reporting and Evaluation:
+ Generate detailed reports and dashboards to analyze LMS data and track the effectiveness of learning initiatives.
+ Provide insights based on data analysis to identify areas for improvement in learning processes and programs.
5. Integration and Optimization:
+ Collaborate with HR and IT departments to maintain integration of the LMS with other HR systems to streamline workflows.
+ Stay informed about industry best practices, compliance requirements, and emerging trends in LMS administration to continuously improve L&D processes.
6. Other duties as assigned.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**
**Education & Experience:** Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience as an LMS Administrator or in a similar role. Workday experience preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
**Skills** **:**
+ Proficiency in Learning Management System administration, including security management, configuration, and reporting.
+ Proven experience in designing, configuring, and managing course content, curriculum structures, and learning paths.
+ Solid understanding of LMS best practices, compliance standards, and data governance.
+ Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
+ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with stakeholders and supporting end users.
+ Familiarity with integrating LMS systems with other HR technologies and experience generating reports and analyzing data to measure learning outcomes and identify key performance indicators, is preferred.

LMS Administrator / Instructional Technologist

Highland Community College is seeking an experienced LMS Administrator / Instructional Technologist to manage and enhance the Colleges academic technology systems. This role ensures the effective operation of the Learning Management System (LMS) and Video Management System (VMS) while providing exceptional user support, training, and technology integration to optimize the teaching and learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage LMS and VMS system accessibility, configuration, upgrades, and integrations to ensure seamless operation and security.
  • Provide expert-level user support for faculty, staff, and students while developing training materials and documentation.
  • Maintain servers, manage integrations and security protocols, and coordinate software updates.
  • Assist with classroom instructional technology, including HyFlex room configurations.
  • Maintain relationships with LMS and VMS vendors, oversee contracts, and configure third-party integrations and learning tools.
  • Evaluate and implement new instructional technologies to improve learning effectiveness.
  • Work closely with faculty and staff to ensure optimal use of academic technologies.

What Were Looking For:

  • Bachelors degree in instructional technology, computer science, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Experience in LMS and instructional technology administration.
  • Proficiency with LMS and VMS platforms (Moodle and Panopto preferred).
  • Experience with Linux scripting, system upgrades, and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Solid understanding of instructional technology and learning tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Must pass a criminal history background check.
  • This position offers the potential for a hybrid remote work schedule after approximately six months of employment, dependent on organizational needs and performance. The hybrid schedule allows remote work for up to two days per week (one day during the summer schedule).
