ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include travel requirements):
UNLOADING
- The truck bumps the dock and after securing the trailer, rolls are taken off the truck.
- Each roll is scanned as they are being unloaded from the truck and before they are placed in the warehouse.
- Ensure product is good quality and no damage as it is stored.
- Proper paper work must be maintained for all loading/unloading processes.
- Responsible for the unloading of Latex and Raw Glass trucks.
- Report any damage to the Shipping Manager immediately.
- The truck bumps the dock and after securing the trailer, verify with driver the order number and/or destination.
- Use computer to pull the order/pick plan.
- Get the Tare Weight from Shipping Manager
- Load the rolls on cradles and/or blocking as needed.
- Maximize the shipping weight without exceeding the DOT maximum.
- Pick plans/ roll numbers are transferred to Shipping Manager for completion of BOL.
- Organization: Must have sound organizational and mathematical skills in order to process job related data and in relation to work area materials and
- Communication: Ability to provide relevant and timely information in a clear manner to coworkers and supervision.
- Follow Through: Fulfills the requirements of the position as Ability to follow-through on

- Some products may require a sample be taken to QC for verification BEFORE proceeding with unload
- Once the trailer is emptied, all connections must be removed making sure there is no spillage.
- Clean the area thoroughly after unload is complete

- Loading building materials and components using standard and heavy-duty forklifts particularly Hyster models.
- Assure all parts are accounted for and properly marked and staged for loading.
- Load all material onto flatbed trailers.
- Inspect all material for damage prior to loading on trailers.
- Perform pre-shift equipment inspections.
- Responsible for housekeeping and cleanliness of the loading area.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Safety is the most important part of all jobs; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead and uphold safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards always.

Description:
The Freight Loader at Makers Air is responsible for safely and efficiently loading, unloading, and transporting cargo and freight between aircraft and MA Hangers, office building or airport terminal. They may also help guide planes into their berths, secure the aircraft, and operate equipment such as cargo loaders, lift trucks, and ramp tractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sorting and organizing cargo,
- Preparing freight for shipment,
- Loading/unloading the aircraft,
- Assisting with other tasks necessary for flight preparation.
- Ensuring the safety of all aircraft, cargo, equipment, and personnel
Qualifications:
- Must have the flexibility to work very early morning shifts (5:30am) including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to lift over 50lbs
- Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
- Must pass pre-employment screenings including a drug test and FAA criminal background test
- Minimum 1 year Freight or Warehouse experience
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position based at Makers Air FXE.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving items as needed.
