SUMMARY

- Prepares site for daily work, performs all housekeeping and duties necessary for daily activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate jackhammers and drills to break up concrete or pavement
- Position, join, align and seal structural components, such as concrete wall sections and pipes
- Shovel cement and other materials into portable cement mixers: and mix, pour, and spread concrete
- Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials
- Smooth and finish freshly poured cement or concrete, using floats, trowels, screeds, or powered cement finishing tools
- Tend to machines that pump concrete, grout, and sand
- Tend to pumps, compressors, and generators to provide power for tools, machinery, and equipment, or to heat and move materials such as asphalt
- Lubricate, clean and repair machinery, equipment, and tools.
- Operate, read, and maintain air monitoring and other sampling devices in confined and/or hazardous environments.
- Assisting build and positioning forms for pouring concrete, and dismantle forms after use, using saws, hammers, nails, or bolts.
- Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards, while following all waste handling guidelines.
- Control traffic passing near, in, and around work zones.
- Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, and rakes.
- Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps and other temporary structures.
- Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications.
- Act as a watch when welding or metal cutting is performed by craft workers.
- Read and interpret plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work activities
- Expedites materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work sites.
- Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various janitorial activities.
- Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules, including wearing required personal safety equipment. Performs other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Ability to work in inclimate weather condtions.Abilty to lift up to 50 lbs. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

The responsibility of the Loading Operator is to control, optimize, and produce the quality of USALCO plant performance and product through process control in relationship to the Loading/Checking. The assignment also requires that all federal and state regulations be followed during the work being performed in the facility. This position reports to the Production and Logistics Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following is a representative, but not an all-inclusive list of activities performed by the Loader/Checker. Other duties or special projects may be assigned.

  1. Responsible for all processes involved with Loading/Checking.
  2. Monitors all loading of bulk tanker trucks and railcars.
  3. Follows procedures and records process data as required.
  4. Collects retain sample from rear of truck after each tanker truck/railcar is loaded and sent to lab for storage.
  5. Completes all required paperwork for each truck and railcar.
  6. Some offloading of trucks and railcars is required.
  7. Communicates with lab for paperwork as needed.
  8. Assists with unloading of empty totes and drums from truck.
  9. Uses camera to take required pictures for this process.
  10. Facilitates the upkeep, organization and maintenance of process equipment.
  11. Housekeeping of loading area including load shack and truck pad.
  12. Responsible for turning in all paperwork and samples at the end of each shift.
  13. Responsible for washing of blend tanks and working closely with the blend operators.
  14. Responsible for the overall housekeeping and general maintenance of the loading/checking area as well as other areas of the plant.

Broad job knowledge is required to perform complex duties in a mostly hot and dusty environment. Considerable physical activity including moving about stairways and platforms, working in difficult, tight, and uncomfortable places, sweeping, shoveling and some heavy lifting may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS: The assignment requires background in plant operations and a broad knowledge of all equipment and processes associated with loading/checking. Knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations is required.

EXPERIENCE:
  • Move and operate hoses and piping (hoses less than 50 pounds)
  • Bend and stoop to move and operate pumps and other equipment.
  • Ability to walk long distances each day.

Our Hospitality/Concierge Service Officers support Harvard Protection in our goal of providing best in class security and life safety services. Our Hospitality and Concierge Officers are responsible for providing professional customer-focused security and life safety services for the people and the property they protect.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Maintain a professional demeanor always while aiding guests, employees, and visitors
  • Monitor access to the loading dock area, checking credentials and verifying authorization for all drivers, vendors, and personnel
  • Collaborate with warehouse and dock personnel to ensure safety compliance and coordination
  • Respect the privacy, and information of each guest
  • Provide a pro-active approach to customer service
  • Demonstrate the ability to diplomatically address and control challenging situations
  • Monitor the environment, with the ability to detect suspicious and unsafe activity
  • Familiar understanding with all incoming and outgoing arrivals and departures
  • Greet guests, visitors, and staff in a professional manner always
  • Answer questions and assist all in a customer focused, supportive manner
  • Answer all phones in a professional manner
  • Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits
  • Know the facility / policies / procedures, and enforce them within the limits of the position
  • Perform required patrols of designated areas on foot
  • Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate customer requirements
  • Follow established emergency action planning and procedures
  • Monitor alarms and systems, as required
  • Prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, as directed
  • Maintain knowledge regarding external events & activities which may impact guests and/or employees. Be aware of all internal events, group activities and VIP arrivals
  • Maintain accurate and complete shift notes and "pass-on" logs to ensure successful communication thru shift changes
  • Maintain regular attendance and highest standards of personal appearance & grooming in compliance with Harvard Protection
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
  • Minimum High School Diploma, GED or the equivalent
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Friendly and professional demeanor with a strong work ethic and integrity
  • Must enjoy interacting with a diverse group of people
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Computer skills and be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively operate and manage security and communication devices.
  • Write routine correspondence, to include log entries and incident reporting
  • Previous experience in a customer service-oriented industry or support environment required
  • Previous contract security, law enforcement, military helpful


Compensation
