SUMMARY
We have an immediate, Full-Time opening for a CDL Driver - Class A who would like to build a career serving our customers from our branch location in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Qualifications & Responsibilities:
- Strong work history and a clean CDL A
- Ability to safely load, secure and unload materials
- Experienced ability to safely perform local commercial deliveries
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to move or lift up to 100 lbs., frequently
- Forklift and/or Moffett experience preferred; boom experience is a plus!
- Ability to read and interpret documents, work orders/invoices, logs, manuals, etc.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
- Maintains necessary certifications and credentials
- Successful completion of: pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check, which will include previous employment check, and MVR driving review.
- This position does not require over the road travel (OTR) and will not be drop and hook.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including but are not limited to:
- Loading materials onto a delivery vehicle with the assistance of other personnel and mechanical devices including forklifts. Driver must frequently load his/her vehicle alone.
- Driving delivery vehicle to a customer jobsite. Unloading materials at the jobsite, in most circumstances, unassisted. Materials must be covered so they are protected from any inclement weather.
- Driver may be required to collect payment for goods if necessary.
- When not delivering materials, driver will work at various tasks in the warehouse including but not limited to: stocking/organizing inventory, servicing walk-in customers, receiving materials from manufacturers, cleaning, etc.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Class A New York State Commercial Drivers License. Hazardous Materials endorsement. Air Brakes endorsement.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands/fingers to handle/feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit (driving); reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
