Job Description

The Data Systems Engineer is responsible for providing data system solutions that enable stakeholders to make informed decisions to optimize process performance. They will collaborate with process owners to develop an understanding of their data and analysis needs and architect and implement solutions that automate tasks and enable analytics to be performed effectively and efficiently.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders including the Operations, Digital Manufacturing, Q&PC, EH&S, R&D and WCM teams to provide solutions to data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
+ Responsible for providing Factory+ (MES) data validation systems to facilitate implementation and develop analysis functionality that meets user data and analytics requirements.
+ Utilize the skills and approach designed into the DnA Core Skills program to clean, structure, explore, visualize, and model data with machine learning algorithms.
+ Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.
+ Generate data visualizations and cross-functional reports that convey key performance metrics, significant trends, and relationships across multiple data sources leveraging business intelligence tools.
+ Improve data quality by using & improving internal tools to automatically detect issues.
+ Explore/develop new technologies or approaches to data mining and interpretation.
+ Develop data governance strategies to ensure data integrity, timely delivery and completeness.
+ Deploy foundational reliability pillar tools and methods at all sites in SPG to improve production, audit scores and technical reliability.
+ Facilitate training for SAP CMMS and associated devices
+ Assist plant Mechanical Engineers, Process Engineers, and maintenance department with troubleshooting and root cause analysis of complex and/or chronic failures.
+ Analyze plant and group-level reliability data in support of policy deployment for the group
+ Benchmark Predictive Maintenance technologies and support implementation in plants.
+ Master's Degree Engineering, Computer Science, or Data Analytics
+ 10 Years Experience working in a continuous process manufacturing environment
+ Project Management experience required
+ Demonstrated experience and advanced knowledge of data collection systems and data analysis.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with carriers for timely pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Maintain inventory records and update shipping logs as needed.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to load and unload shipments (certification preferred).
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics within a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy product (up to 60lbs)
  • Basic math skills required
  • Experience using shipping software and inventory management systems is a must
  • Fork-Lift driving experience is a plus, however we will train the right candidate

  • Responsible for the calibration, maintenance, and repair of all plant instruments including, but not limited to, pH probes, conductivity probes, temperature probes, flow meters, pressure transmitters, level transmitters, oxygen probes, etc.
  • Perform daily rounds throughout the plant and check critical instruments or mechanical equipment for proper operation.
  • Perform weekly preventive maintenance on assigned equipment as scheduled.
  • Complete and document all necessary preventive maintenance work.
  • Complete assigned work orders and enter all pertinent CMMS.
To succeed you must have
  • Ability to use an electronic device/computer on a daily basis.
  • Mechanical skill to determine how a piece of equipment functions.
  • Capability to operate and be forklift certified.
