As a Software QA Engineer, you will be responsible for validation of the RDMA protocol features for the Ethernet NIC. Responsibilities:
1. Define and publish test plans for the RDMA protocol features for the Ethernet NIC products.
2. Work closely with the architecture teams, silicon design teams and other software / firmware teams to design and execute performance and scale testing.
3. Hands-on in test planning, automation and validation of RDMA protocol features to deliver high quality, high performance and functionally excellent products.
4. Work closely with the SW team for a better test coverage and execution in the product release cycle.
5. Work closely with the customer support engineers on any customer field issues and provide timely help for issue reproductions and closure.
Requirements:
1. BS/MS in Computer Science, Electronics & Communications or equivalent with minimum 8+ years of experience.
2. Significant experience in RDMA protocol, QoS, Packet Classifications, Linux Systems programming, Linux kernel, Linux Network Drivers, Linux Kernel Networking, Virtual Switching and Data center Networking, and firmware development and testing.
3. A good understanding of the RDMA protocol is a must have. Hands-on experience with RDMA is highly desired.
4. Experience in writing test scripts to verify NIC behavior is highly desired.
5. Excellent programming skills in Python is a must.
6. Strong analytical, problem solving and debugging skills in a combined software and hardware environments.

The annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $192,000

Maximus is seeking a Sr Test Engineer to effectively execute against the established test approach through the creation, review, execution of test cases as well as the discovery of code, configuration, infrastructure related flaws / defects with an objective to ensure quality for the software quality product. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Perform analysis and review of system requirements, estimations, peer reviews, test data determination and preparation, designing test strategy and test cases, executing test cases, and monitoring and control of overall test activities.

- Lead efforts in performing POC/research for new tools, making recommendations of such tools, and implementing upon management approval.

- Perform test preparation and test execution.

- Identify and determine data for testing.

- Identify, report, and manage defects in defect tracking system.

- Participate in level of effort estimates.

- Maintain project's test documentation.

- Participate in reviews as per project's scope.

- Troubleshoot user reported production defects.

- Provide testing status reports per project requirements and provide input to the project plans and processes.

- Identify and communicate risks to the project team.

- Participate in collection and review of quantitative data related to software testing and development activities for measurement and analysis.

- May provide guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within job area.

- Participation in the creation of formal Test Strategies / Approach

- Authoring of quality Test Cases within the designated velocity and timeline

- Perform Test Data Analysis and tie it back to authored test cases

- Ability to perform test case execution within the designated velocity and timeline

- Define problems, collect data, draw valid conclusions, and drive mitigating actions

- Be a prominent contributor within the defect triage / mitigation process

- Ability to mitigate problems with both business and technical orientated staff

- Technical aptitude to lean, script, execute automated solutions

- Understanding of automation frameworks (Process, Testing, etc.)

- Identify and approach problem and draw valid solutions to mitigate

- Perform database queries, analyze code, interact with technical resources

- Perform Web, Cross Browser, Database, Visualization, Mobile testing

- Assess quality stability, consult on next steps with both technical and business teams

- Guardian of the overall validation process to ensure that quality results are accurately captured

- Ability to present facts and figures to get to a logical conclusion

Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 5+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Salesforce exp required

- Excellent verbal and communication skills (ability to present the facts)

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree with work experience

- Five years' experience as a Test Engineer

- Database, Query, API, Java knowledge a plus

- Knowledge of JIRA, Test Management Tools, Katalon, Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin

- Fundamental knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, Iterative Development)

- Fundamental knowledge of Test Driven Development and/or Behavioral Driven Development

- Fundamental knowledge of healthcare, insurance, or financial services is a plus
