Responsibilities Develop custom PLC programs with both function block and ladder logic style programming using a standards-based approach. Develop custom SCADA programs or lead SCADA program development to meet project requirements. Test one's own project with simulation tools to meet project requirements. Lead functional testing of switchgear projects on the factory floor as necessary. Confirm project requirements by reviewing the program objective vs. hardware provided. Provide an estimated completion schedule for every programming project. Responsible for alarm and event point assignment, which will be used in SCADA development to enhance operator situational awareness. Perform Research and Development tasks to validate ideas and implement changes into the PLC software standard. Presents technical findings and developments. Adheres to the software quality process through the execution of module, subsystem and system test procedures. Analyzes localization requirements and designs/adapts products and solutions accordingly. Collaborate effectively with other departments, commissioning agents, and end users to come up with improvements and new features for our Switchgear Systems. Finish the programming projects on time. Provide troubleshooting support on the factory floor as well as remote Field Service Engineers. Participates in the continuous improvement of the PLC programming standards. You will win us over by having the following Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: 7+ years experience in Automation and Control Engineering or Electrical Engineering, Experience with a variety of programming PLCs and SCADAs, including LM90, VersaPro, Proficy, RSLogix 5000, ProWORX, Step 7, TIA Portal, WinCC and Wonderware. Strong understanding of PLC Network Architecture. This includes, but is not limited to Redundant PLC Controllers, Remote IO Drops, and all associated network protocols. Responsibilities :
- Conceptualize, design, build, and troubleshoot automation solutions on Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC platforms to improve process and equipment performance. Solutions may also involve robotics, vision/camera, and motion systems.
- Develop a clear, detailed project scope through stakeholder engagement, create a realistic timeline and execution plan, manage progress and task completion by fellow team members while keeping stakeholders informed, and ensure stakeholder satisfaction upon completion.
- Write clear job specifications to ensure effective competitive bidding and enforce contractor/supplier compliance with all of Tarkett's safety requirements while onsite.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will design, develop, and implement automation control systems for various industrial processes and warehouse distribution equipment. This role requires a strong background in engineering principles, programming languages, and control system technologies. - Understand, maintain and troubleshoot material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks such as Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus, ASi bus, motor control systems, servo drives, frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems.
- Monitor MHE metrics and partner with maintenance/operations for system performance issues and provide analysis across all operations.
- Act as the first level of escalation support to both site technician and automation engineers professionals, during and after business hours, troubleshooting locally and remotely and repair all controls hardware and software systems within the building.
- Appropriately escalate downtime situations to vendors and senior leadership for support to restore equipment operation.
- *Facilitate Root Cause Failure Analysis and Incident Review processes and implement process improvements or retraining to avoid future incidents.
- *Routinely assess material handling system performance and drive continuous improvement projects that deliver improved system performance and cost savings to the client.
- Communicate technical issues and project timelines with building leadership, operations and the Reliability and Maintenance Engineering team. Explain production impacts and partner with operations to identify, develop and enforce operational work-around procedures in the event of system failures.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of experience with PLC-controlled automation and issue diagnosis in a continuous process or production environment.

As Automation Engineer you will be responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic systems in the machinery spaces, entertainment equipment, bridge equipment and hotel areas.
Level: 2.5 stripes Officer
Responsibilities :
-
Responsible to properly complete the monthly maintenance routines for equipment under their control, and to report all completed work on the AMOS system.

All electronics systems relating to the operation, control, monitoring safety and surveillance of the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and thermal equipment contained within the main machinery spaces
-
Responsible for ship's communication systems, bridge navigation equipment.

Telephone exchange

CCTV Systems

Fire Protection Systems

Maintenance (AMOS Monthly routines and unscheduled call outs) of mechanical, electrical, electronic equipment in Entertainment areas, including partnering with the Entertainment Technical team for support and equipment familiarization.

Performs Emergency duties as specified in the ships Assembly Plan

Uphold the general safety management responsibilities in areas and operations under their control.
Basic Qualifications :
-
Electro-technical Officer Certificate of Competency
-
2+ years' shipboard experience as senior Electro-technical Officer on cruise vessels
-
Excellent communication skills, including fluent written and spoken English
-
Enthusiasm about guiding other team members
-
Flexibility and a cool head in dynamic, ever-evolving environments

This is a SHIPBOARD role.
