**Responsibilities:**

+ Track shipment status, transit times, and delivery performance, and communicate updates, delays, or issues to internal stakeholders, customers, and carriers to manage expectations, resolve discrepancies, and mitigate risks.
+ Maintain records, documentation, and databases of logistics activities, including shipping documents, bills of lading, customs declarations, and inventory reports, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, trade regulations, and import/export laws.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as procurement, manufacturing, sales, and customer service, to align logistics operations with business objectives, support production planning, and optimize inventory management and order fulfillment processes.
+ Evaluate logistics service providers, negotiate contracts, rates, and service level agreements (SLAs), and establish performance metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks to measure supplier performance, service quality, and cost-effectiveness.
+ Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and supply chain optimization, and implement best practices, lean principles, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
**Qualifications** :
+ Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field; additional certification in transportation, warehousing, or inventory management is a plus.
+ Experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations, with a proven track record of success in coordinating complex logistics activities, managing multiple projects, and achieving performance targets.
+ Proficiency in logistics software, transportation management systems (TMS), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, with the ability to analyze data, generate reports, and extract insights to support decision-making and process improvement.
+ Strong knowledge of international trade, customs regulations, import/export compliance, INCO terms, INCO shipping, and documentation requirements for cross-border shipments and global logistics operations.
+ Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and resolve conflicts diplomatically to achieve consensus and alignment on logistics strategies and priorities.

**Summary**

**Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Utilize Transportation Management System (TMS) system to plan, optimize, and tender freight to contracted carrier partners within 24 hours of Purchase Order (PO) creation for assigned sites/ regions.
+ Regularly utilize TMS to review and ensure all loads and POs are placed with correct dates, lead times, and tendered to carriers in effort to drive LEI, service, and optimal ordering patterns.
+ Partner with Supply Chain Inventory Management, Operations, and 3rd party carriers to provide resolution on Inbound Logistics freight.
+ Resolve recalled/rejected tenders within 2 business hours from notification of recall/rejection.
+ Help identify trends to mitigate excess cost and service erosion, including detention charges, unprofitable lanes, underweight load fill, and on-going service failures.
+ Consistently review vendor delivered suppliers for possible CPU conversions to create logistics earned income and maximize supply chain efficiency.
+ Negotiate spot rates with carrier partners where necessary to cover volume over-committed capacity per department guidelines.
+ Review, approve, and resolve accessorial charges and WIP to ensure timely carrier payment.
**Education Preferred:**

**Primary Responsibilities:** Perform daily tasks for assigned sites in one of the following functions: Inbound Logistics, Claim Resolution or Inbound Command Center.
**Additional Duties:**
+ **Inbound Logistics:**
+ Possess comprehensive knowledge of current vendors' freight programs, product categories, supplier distribution points, and overall Inbound Logistics for assigned sites.
+ Provide back up support to team members when necessary.
+ **Claim Resolution:**
+ 20%: Investigate reports of overage, shortage, and damage (OS&D) for assigned Sysco locations.
+ 20%: Determine if OS&D claim should be filed against the supplier or assigned motor carrier - completing necessary CORA tasks associated.
+ 15%: Gather necessary documents, emails, and photographs to aid in financial recovery of claim value from responsible party.

+ **Inbound Command Center**
+ 40% Provide guidance and / review metrics with OpSites through monthly meetings to analyze and optimize inbound capacity settings at a temp/dock level to ensure operational needs, inbound demand and service level can be met
+ 30% Consistently monitor inbound demand vs dock capacity settings and deploy mathematics or process changes for improvement
+ 15% OpSite problem solving for example, but not limited to, issues with inbound cap settings due to building space constraints
+ 15% Guidance on OpSite concerns and issues including analyses and driving resolution of daily, time-sensitive processes
+ Provide back up support for team members as needed, including RDC Capacity planner

The Logistics Manager is responsible for managing logistics operations and improving service levels for field operations. They ensure goods move in a timely and compliant manner at optimum cost within the GeoUnit or from Central Logistics teams such as in the DSC or LCT towards the field. The Logistics Manager is driving cost reduction and process efficiency initiatives, improving the service level to field operations, and ensuring compliance with (customs) rules and regulations.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Engage with internal (Business Line) stakeholders to ensure the right level of logistics support is delivered as per the needs of our (internal) customers.
+ Build, train and motivate an effective logistics team in the GeoUnit or Central logistics team.
+ Provide on-time logistics at cost-competitive costs to operations.
+ Drive logistics cost savings initiatives related to Domestic and IE processes when in the GeoUnit or for international freight and hub operations from SSC level. Implement programs resulting in continuous improvement of service levels to the field.
+ Manage the logistics team and enforce related processes and systems.
+ Conduct monthly performance reviews with operations/stakeholders and KPI reporting.
+ Analyze spending monthly and drive improvement initiatives including optimizing rental versus call out equipment, defining vendor strategies, optimizing rate application, establishing fixed schedules/milk runs on high volume lanes, etc.
+ Account for the domestic T&M spends a percentage of revenue and domestic performance metrics.
+ Ensure compliance with land transport contractor guidelines, HSE policies, and local regulations (including DG) and ensure shipment execution follows the Schlumberger standards.
+ Ensure full compliance with country-specific trade regulations & requirements as well as Schlumberger policies.
+ Manage vendor quarterly business reviews with domestic logistics vendors and customs brokers, and/or international freight forwards and engagement with P&S to deliver expected service quality.
+ Perform monthly invoice audits to ensure contract compliance in billing processes.
+ Ensure the logistics activities are delivered according to SLB standards and policies.
+ Ensure import and export processes are executed timely, in the most cost-effective way and in compliance with regulations.
+ Ensure proper training of team members--on both processes and systems--to maximize Serviced Quality to Business Lines.
+ Communicate with internal customers on a regular basis to ensure that the service level provided is according to customer's expectations.
+ Assist Category Manager-Logistics in setting up effective logistics supplier base for served logistics network.
+ Work closely with HR to ensure adequate recruitment, staffing, career development, and training in distribution resources
Reporting line is into GeoUnit Supply Chain manager or into the SSC organization where applicable / based on location of the role. Based on the size of the logistics organization covered by the Logistics Manager, this role may have logistics supervisors reporting to them.
**Education:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
**Experience:**
+ Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain, or freight forwarding, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
+ Proven experience in oil & gas, manufacturing, or industrial project logistics.
+ Demonstrated success in managing project cargo mobilization, trade compliance, and distribution optimization.
+ Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP preferred) and logistics management software.
+ Strong knowledge of third-party logistics (3PL) management, carrier negotiations, and route optimization.
+ Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage logistics networks.
+ Experience in logistics strategy development, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to align logistics performance with business goals.
+ Multilingual preferred.
+ Willingness to travel as needed.
