Job Summary
Performs many non-clinical tasks required to deliver care, including but not limited to, Inventory Control (parring, put-away), Linen Inventory Management and Distribution, Patient Care Equipment Cleaning and Distribution, and Patient Transport. Coordinates functions within base department or an assigned clinical area. Delivers high level of customer service to co-workers, patients and the clinical staff. Works in a self-directed manner to prioritize job functions. Responsible for ensuring the very best patient/family experience by optimizing all customer interactions.
Job Duties
+ Supports the care delivery process by performing the required care delivery support activities.
+ May assist with any non-clinical activity required to support the delivery of care.
+ Transports patients, belongings and deceased to and from assigned departments.
+ Assists floor staff to ready patients for transport.
+ Properly identifies patient prior to transport and assures that patient has an I.D. band.
+ Manages the resources for an assigned clinical area, including procurement, transport, storage, preparation, cleaning, and maintenance assistance.
+ Resources may include any supplies, medications excluding Scheduled Controlled Substances as defined by the DEA, linen, equipment, or other materials required for patient care or for other required activities (does not include staff members).
+ Maintains a current understanding of the supplies, equipment, services, other resources, and operations provided by the Support Services departments.
+ Maintains data entry to support performance metrics as assigned or required.
+ Suggests opportunities for improvement, offers solutions to the issues, and actively works to implement these solutions to improve operations and remove waste from processes.
+ Actively participates as a team member in working towards the goals of the assigned unit and organization by supporting the clinical staff as directed, serving as a mentor and trainer for new staff, and providing the highest level of customer service possible.
+ Actively works to keep supply rooms, equipment storage rooms, patient rooms, and other assigned areas clean and organized.
+ Provides for a safe environment by taking corrective measures to maintain a neat and orderly work environment in optimal functioning order.

The Operations Manager provides leadership to leading staff to ensure customer requirements are achieved while meeting our Penske goals and objectives.
**Position Summary:**
Lead teams in a dynamic operational environment, to consistently exceed established goals, demonstrate a commitment to customers and a dedication to excellence and innovation. Develop forward looking plans and turn those plans into successful execution. Effectively manage resources to achieve operational excellence and meet or exceed the site financial operating plan. Implement and maintain an incident free safety culture at the operation.
**Schedule** : Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Hours may vary depending on business needs)
**Salary** : $83,600 - 112,800 - Position is bonus eligible up to 30% of the base salary
**Major Responsibilities:**
**People**
- Establish and sustain that all supervisors and associates are trained and competent and understand how their work relates to the customers' business objectives
- Establish and sustain that we recruit, hire, train, develop and retain quality associates.
- Establish and sustain effective, two-way communication that informs and motivates as well as recognizes excellence among team members
- Establish and sustain strong and effective relationships with associates, the customer, and supporting departments
**Operations**
- Meet or exceed all customer key performance metrics and objectives
- Interact daily with local customer to ensure existing and emerging customer needs are understood
- Lead team to identify operational improvements in areas such as route optimization, carrier selection, backhauls, and trailer loading
- Collaborate with other Penske sites to share best practices, leverage resources/assets, etc.
**Finance**
- Develop and execute annual financial and operating plan
- Lead the operation with integrity to meet or exceed the Business Plan targets
- Identify issues with the operating metrics and P&L and make required adjustments in a timely manner
- Ensure customer billings and associate payroll are prepared timely and accurately, the payables and intercompany charges are valid and correct, and all other activities are accurately reflected in the P&L.

- Lead a culture of safety through personal example
- Develop, execute, and assess continuous improvement plan to reduce accident and injury frequency
- Ensure each associate understands their individual role and responsibilities, as well as the group's role and responsibilities required to achieve and maintain a safe work place

**Qualifications:**
- 4 - 6 years related functional experience.
- 3+ years managerial or supervisory experience with DOT regulated positions required
- High School degree or equivalent required

- Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint required
- Must have ability to connect and build rapport and relationships with associates and external customers at all levels

**Position Purpose:**
A Logistics Engineer supports process improvement and task-out projects, typically related to cost out. An Engineer may perform operational analysis, process improvement, facility and capacity planning, and project management. Must be a self starter, detail oriented, able to manage multiple projects, possesses excellent communication and analytical skills, works well with a team, interacts with multiple levels and functions within the Global Logistics organization.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ 25% Identifies Logistics process improvement opportunities through competitive analysis, and critical thinking. Supports and/or leads cross-functional strategic or process improvement projects.
+ 25% Develops business tools and solutions based on knowledge, product or technology. Reviews and recommends system/software enhancements as needed.
+ 25% Develops reports and runs ad hoc queries. Identifies and develops business rules and standard operating procedures to streamline operating processes. Develops and maintains cost estimates, forecasts, and cost models.
+ 25% Provides facility and capacity planning analysis for distribution and transportation functions in Logistics. Conducts time studies, rate analysis, network analysis, statistical analysis, flow path analysis and supply chain analysis. Develops metrics and key performance indicators for assigned business units.

**Travel Requirements:**
+ Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Overview
This is a union position within PPL. The successful candidate will be a member of IBEW Local 1600. The successful applicant will perform basic warehouse duties. This is a temporary position, lasting up to 9 months. The successful candidates will be for 3rd shift. Sunday - Thursday 10pm - 6am.

+ Operates common hand and power tools, including small forklift (maximum 10,000 lbs.) and other material handling equipment, i.e., pallet jack and power carts.
+ Loads and unloads PPL and supplier vehicles.
+ Places received materials into their proper location.
+ Performs routine local errands related to Logistics functions.
+ Performs miscellaneous yard and warehouse clean-up activities.
+ Only operates personal computer for employee related activities such as e-mail, time entry, Job Safety Analysis, training, etc.
+ Substitutes for Messenger.
+ Performs other related duties as assigned or as necessary.

Job Summary
Performs many non-clinical tasks required to deliver care, including but not limited to, Inventory Control (parring, put-away), Linen Inventory Management and Distribution, Patient Care Equipment Cleaning and Distribution, and Patient Transport. Job Duties
+ Supports the care delivery process by performing the required care delivery support activities.

+ Properly identifies patient prior to transport and assures that patient has an I.D. band.
