**What you'll do:**
The SCM within Eaton's growing Aerospace Interconnect division is responsible for managing key Supply Chain related functions such as materials planning, scheduling and ordering activities associated with the delivery of specific customer products, direct and indirect material purchasing, inventory control and warehousing, shipping and receiving. Manages and directs supply chain personnel in the procurement, receipt, disbursement, and inventory control of material to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders while maintaining assigned inventory levels. Is expected to train and educate direct reports on the use of supply chain management techniques, various business systems, varieties of reports and other related tools to ensure timely and economical completion of customer requirements.

- Manage and direct supply chain personnel in the planning, scheduling, procurement, and inventory control of material to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders while maintaining assigned inventory levels

Manages inventory levels in order to meet established inventory & Day-on-Hand targets
- Ensure the accuracy of physical inventory to assure the timely fulfillment of customer orders while maintaining inventory levels that are beneficial to the overall operation of the company
- Foster an environment that promotes Eaton's vision, encourages continuous improvement while aligning with supply chain functional requirements (i.e. Materials Management Assessment)

**Job Summary:**
Based out of our Oak Brook, IL office, this role will be heavily project focused, but also involve a variety of day-to-day activities. Primarily an analytical role, this role would support the business on accurate production planning, engage in demand reviews, and support the business in ensuring accurate forecasting.
As an intern/coop, you will work independently and as part of various teams, working toward goals on project assignments with guidance provided as needed with the intent of offering opportunities to develop the knowledge and skills for a career in Supply Chain Planning after graduation.
In addition to hands-on experience in Supply Chain Planning, this position will provide the intern with:

**Qualifications:**
+ Formal orientation and on-boarding
+ 2 - 3 years of progress towards a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or closely related major
+ Overall and within major GPA of 3.0 or higher
+ Demonstrated interest in Supply Chain, Operations Planning, and Business Administration through course work or previous internships
+ Computer savvy, knowledge of ERP systems, and strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft office applications
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Ability to effectively interact with senior management
+ Excellent organizational skills

+ Associate degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain preferred. Previous Supply Chain experience in a healthcare, warehousing, or other distribution environment.
+ Previous Supply Chain experience in a Trinity Health facility highly desired.
+ Be able to complete additional education, training and competency tests as required.
**Compensation:**
Pay Range: $16.70 - $25.53 per hour

**Job Summary**
Utilize logistical engineering methods to understand, predict, and/or improve supply chain operations and efficiencies. Provide consistent, relevant, and accurate data analyses and support engineering decisions using data driven methods.
**Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities**
+ Supports the Supply Chain (manager) by developing domestic and global end-to-end supply chain network baselines. Builds interfacing element tables, including products, sites, demand, sourcing policies, transportation policies, and inventory policies.
+ Extracts data from enterprise resource planning and business intelligence environments. Refines data issues via rule-based attribute, record, cell, and consistency (ARCC) processes.
+ Analyzes "service only" and "low cost" baseline models. Models current and future state scenarios and cost/service implications.
+ Prepares Greenfield and/or Brownfield cost-benefit and break even analyses.
+ Improves product flow paths, including inbound consolidation, cross docking, port selection, and vendor direct strategies
+ Assists in translating complex system models (Llamasoft, Tableau) into executive-level presentations with analyses and data driven recommendations.
+ Collaborates with Route Optimization to develop optimized transportation networks, including routes, modes, schedules, and fleets.
+ Evaluates safety stock inventory levels and facility stocking strategies as needed.

**Work Environment**

**Education and Experience**
