**Summary**
As a Logistics Management Trainee, during the 9-12 month training program, you will participate in a program centered around three fundamental pieces: on-the-job learning where you will apply your knowledge immediately, structured/foundational learning centered around logistics, and team-based learning with other future leaders. You will get exposure to multiple customer locations within the region for foundation knowledge of different operations and customer focus. Upon conclusion of the training, you would be expected to be willing and able to relocate within a specific geographical area to broaden your knowledge and skillset.

Under the direct supervision of one of our Logistics Managers in is responsible to supervise, coordinate and oversee the logistics operations. This position is for a Logistics Management Specialist/Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist, PD Numbers D /D , and is part of the MT Air National Guard, 120 LRS. (A Position Description can be obtained from HRO) Selecting Official: Col Jason Green Responsibilities This position is responsible for the effective management of the Deployment and Distribution Flight which is comprised of a Plans and Integration Section; Small Air Terminal Section; and Distribution Section. Its primary purpose is to direct and manage subordinate functional areas and to serve as a technical expert over these functional areas. This position provides supervision, subordinate guidance, and team leadership to dual status employees. Incumbent performs long term planning and organizational development necessary to accomplish Deployment and Distribution functions for programs essential to ANG daily operations, training, and readiness missions. Responsible for the centralized command and control, planning, and execution of all wing deployment operations and the distribution of cargo and passengers. The flight is responsible for the execution of AEF Management, Unit Type Code (UTC) Management, In-Garrison Expeditionary Site Planning, and Installation Deployment Planning. The Deployment and Distribution Flight also operates a Deployment Control Center (DCC), Reception Control Center (RCC), and Installation Deployment Readiness Cell (IDRC), as necessary. This flight is responsible for the management of the wing's War Reserve Materiel (WRM) and Support Agreements. Job Description: The selected candidate will serve as a staff logistics specialist with responsibility for coordination and direction of logistics activities for general purpose test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) under project/product management. Duties will include:
- Develops logistics plans to assure integration of various logistics functions in support of assigned TMDE products/projects. Assure execution of plans with responsibility for integration of all functions and special emphasis in the areas of supply and maintenance programs and plans. Determines effect of directives and orders of higher echelons on the logistics support plan and takes positive action to effect changes and minimize adverse impact. Identifies new program requirements and provides for the development of plans for integration with current mission. Advises supervisor of formulation of plans to keep abreast of defense environment and foreign country requirements. Participate in development of basic budgetary requirements for adequate logistics support of assigned systems. Evaluates and coordinates the effort of functional specialist to identify specific requirements and to develop and adjust plans and schedules to meet each requirement as scheduled. Evaluates accomplishments to determine mission objectives. Analyzes performance considering internally established goals, to determine the extent to which accomplishments measure up to requirements and expectations.
- Manages a comprehensive program of logistical support. Serves as principal point of contact for all logistics support activities for assigned TMDE products. Provides management direction to ensure that separate programs are integrated, fully coordinated and effectively implemented to attain desired goals. Assesses system deployment plans to ensure that distribution and support planning is substantive and accurate. Coordinates with other offices to assure accomplishment of planning for special maintenance or support facilities and development and availability of training programs, new equipment training teams and training aids. Furnishes technical advice on the adequacy and/or feasibility of recommendations and approve changes for resolution of problems. Complies performance data on timeliness and cost of technical acquisitions, maintenance and support accomplishments. Anticipates delays and problems areas, evaluates problems and recommends/initiates corrective actions to include tasking and evaluating support of various functional areas (e.g., engineering, procurement, product assurance, supply and maintenance). Initiate corrective actions as required.
- Represents Product Director Office at conferences or meetings with representatives of AMC, DA, other services, foreign countries and private industry, relative to logistics plans and objectives. Maintains continuous liaison with concerned personnel to fully coordinate pertinent information relative to assigned programs. Visits supporting installations, private industry and foreign counties to provide technical direction, advice and assistance as required. Provides extensive integration of wholesale and retail supply maintenance systems and policies and resolves interface problems as required.
