Overview
The Warehouse Equipment Management Specialist plays a key role in supporting the efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement of warehouse operations. This role is responsible for managing critical equipment, packing materials, operational reporting, and supporting cross-functional projects. The ideal candidate is preferred to have 510 years of experience in warehouse operations, including forklift and side clamp maintenance. (This is not a mandatory qualification, but a preferred one.) Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, WMS, and ERP systems are required. Bilingual fluency in both English and Korean is required. Occasional business travel is expected to support operations across multiple warehouse locations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Equipment Management
- Oversee operational equipment including forklifts, side clamps, RF scanners, label printers, and banding tools .
2. Packing and Shipping Material Management
- Monitor and manage inventory of essential packing materials including crates, foam, boxes, shrink wrap , and protective packaging.
- Forecast and maintain safety stock levels for pallets and shipping materials , working closely with warehouse teams to avoid shortages or overstock.
3. Data Analysis & Reporting
- Collect, analyze, and report on operational data using Excel, Google Sheets , and BI tools such as Tableau .
- Develop dashboards and reports to monitor:
- Equipment downtime and recovery
- Clamp pressure trends and anomalies
- Scanner performance and OOS tracking
- Pallet inventory, costs, and purchasing activity
- Deliver actionable insights to support internal process improvement and external customer reporting.
4. Project & Process Support (Ad-hoc)
- Contribute to warehouse improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects by providing data analysis, operational feedback, and implementation support.
- Participate in packaging evaluations and transitions for new product lines and transportation-specific solutions .
- Track utilization , monitor out-of-service (OOS) rates, and coordinate repair/work orders with vendors and service providers.
- Maintain accurate records in the equipment management system ; support full procurement cycles including contract negotiation .
- Coordinate urgent repairs and equipment transfers between warehouse sites in collaboration with external vendors.
- Manage and update equipment lease records and documentation for both internal and customer communication.
- Hands-on experience in forklift and side clamp maintenance is required.
Qualifications
- Bilingual fluency in both English and Korean is required
- 510 years of experience in warehouse operations, including forklift and side clamp maintenance . (Preferred)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implements the strategy to provide the materials and services to meet organizational requirements for quality, volume, availability, and pricing.

- Responsible for order placement of needed product for assigned suppliers and/or assigned product lines
- Reduce/eliminate and prevent excess/obsolete inventories for assigned product lines
- Ensure proper inventory allocation for markets and/or accounts based on projected quantities via virtual inventory systems
- Approve large customer orders for immediate and future ship making sure service levels are maintained
- Monitor Service Levels for assigned product lines ensuring they have met targeted goals
- Controls the flow of product for assigned collections to insure acceptable on hand and on order levels are maintained
- Monitor & coordinates the releases of new styles according to product plan together with Development, Sales & Marketing Departments
- Identifies style parts and ensures they are ordered and linked to style for optimum customer service
- Act as a Liaison to suppliers as it relates to any new or change of process and day to day information exchange
- Coordinates and updates the system with delivery dates from suppliers and follows up with Suppliers to ensure on time Delivery of Product
- Reviews customer backorders on a regular basis and works with supplier to anticipate delivery and prioritize orders as needed, updates the system as needed.
- Works closely with assigned suppliers to ensure they have met acceptable levels of service and lead-times. Attend and participate in meeting as required.

Job Description
Whippany Actuation Systems, a fast-paced and innovative aerospace manufacturer specializing in electromechanical actuators for both commercial and military applications, is seeking a results-driven and growth-oriented individual to join our purchasing department as our newest Supply Chain Buyer. Their primary focus will be to manage supplier relationships and coordinate the procurement of materials, components, and services for the facility. In this demanding role, they will monitor, plan, and ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of supplies and materials. They will also support new product development and implementation initiatives utilizing project management techniques and lead strategic projects supporting new business initiatives.
In this role, you would typically:
- Achieve the lowest possible cost for material, balanced against optimum quality and schedule needs.
- Solicit and evaluate proposals employing appropriate negotiation, cost and price analysis techniques to achieve the lowest possible cost for material, balanced against optimum quality and schedule needs.
- Evaluate current and anticipated requirements using ERP/MRP action plans and reports.
- Implement purchase contracts with sound purchasing practices and ensure compliance with the acquisition of material or service that meet applicable company and government regulations.
- Support new product introduction/development to ensure Sourcing provides the best possible solution.
- Work closely with Program Management, Operations, Engineering and Quality staff to ensure production schedules are met to achieve customer on-time deliveries.
- Manage all Purchase Order (PO) activities such as: PO creation, PO changes, Vendor Return Material Authorizations (VRMA), Return to Vendor (RTV), and Invoice issues.
- Support the Purchasing department and management with special projects and assignments.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in a Purchasing role).
- Relevant experience through internships, co-op programs, or other professional office settings.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- The ability to travel up to 5%.
- Authorization to work in the US.
This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. Whippany Actuation Systems will require proof of status before employment.
We would really like to see:
- Experience with SyteLine ERP (Infor CloudSuite Industrial) or a comparable ERP system
- Experience in aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing industries, with a solid understanding of traceability, documentation, and compliance requirements
- APICS/ASCM Certification
- Proactive problem-solver with a bias for action-able to quickly identify and respond to supply chain or production issues, driving resolution through to completion
- Proven ability to foster a culture of open and honest communication, building trust and credibility through consistent and transparent engagement with cross-functional teams
- Strong communicator who ensures clear and timely flow of critical information both up and down the organizational structure
Compensation and Benefits:
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $75,000 to $115,000 per year. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities. If hired, the employee will be in an "at-will position."
