As the Specialist, Logistics in Managed Transportation at RXO, your attention to the small details and strong work ethic will ensure our operations continue to run smoothly.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Schedule, coordinate and monitor drivers and equipment to ensure daily transportation operations run safely, efficiently and on time

• Assist in developing, planning and modifying daily schedules, and notifying customer service and the operations manager about the status of shipments

• Properly monitor shipments for customers to ensure on time, accurate and satisfactory deliveries

• Troubleshoot and proactively resolve shipment discrepancies as needed

• Enter data into the transportation management system, and maintain and generate required reports; properly process, audit and file various documentation

• Communicate with customers, employees and the management team to ensure necessary requirements are met

What you’ll need to excel:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• 1 year of related experience

• General understanding or knowledge of the transportation industry

• Basic Computer Skills

• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends

We’re looking for a Logistics Planner to join our Supply Chain and Logistics team in Batavia, IL . In this dynamic role, you’ll be the driving force behind our day-to-day inbound and outbound operations—planning, consolidating, scheduling, and ensuring smooth transportation and warehousing of products. Whether coordinating shipments to distributors or managing logistics for key regions and products, your expertise will help keep our supply chain efficient and reliable. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Determine economical and efficient routes and address challenges associated with the movement/transportation of the product.

• Manage customer needs and/or orders for load planning using software tools and considering various factors (geographical areas, delivery dates, amount of product, etc.) to optimize loads/truckloads.

• Plan and prepare schedules that balance all parties’ (member, customer) needs with planned load efficiency and profitability.

• Facilitate effective communication with haulers/drivers and for-hire carriers; provide daily hauler/carrier support through the automated tendering process and ensure all loads are picked up and delivered in a timely manner.

• Communicate with plant personnel, haulers/drivers, for-hire carriers, and warehouse/shipping locations to resolve common shipment and/or service issues, special deliveries, and order adjustments; keep everyone informed of critical changes.

• Support on-time delivery problem-solving and performance improvements with customers; actively communicate with all impacted parties to discover solutions to various issues, such as the shipment of the wrong product, excess or deficit of product, missed delivery time or date, etc.

• Work closely with internal contacts to maintain vendor, carrier, and customer data, such as delivery location, frequency, etc.; use this information to support efficient and economical transportation of customer deliveries or shipments.

• Ensure all transactions are tracked and accurately recorded in the appropriate systems. Daily reconcile assigned transactions (pickups/receipts) with customers, haulers, members, etc.

• Ensure plant managers/staff, suppliers, customers, and haulers have properly documented, reported, and or entered all product and freight data required in the systems.

• Review with management the status of the current week’s activities and transactions; provide an estimate of the current month’s performance, if appropriate.

• Perform demand forecasts for peak delivery periods, as requested.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Distribution Management, or related curriculum preferred.

• 2-5 years’ experience of logistics planning, transportation, distribution, supply chain, or related experience.

• Working knowledge of the motor carrier industry is required.

• Knowledge or experience with transportation management systems (TMS).

• Computer proficiency with MS Excel and Word, with adaptability to learn new systems quickly.

• General knowledge of regulatory requirements, rules, and regulations (DOT, GMP, USDA, OSHA, HACCP).

• Ability to problem-solve basic to moderately difficult situations, multi-task, and prioritize work activities.

• Quality of work must be high, with accuracy and attention to detail.

• Ability to travel up to 10%

The target base salary for this position ranges from $115,000 to $135,000, in addition to a competitive equity and benefits package (as applicable). • Perform Root Cause Analysis
• Auditing of various inventory related functions
• Report issues and variances
• Primarily cycle count by location unless given other task by Inventory Manager
• Review each pallet during cycle count to ensure count, label and location correct

Responsibilities

Cycle count locations

• Cycle count each location in a sequential order for an aisle that is assigned by the Inventory Manager, using to the cycle count procedure.

• Cycle count by product. The products are to be specified by the Inventory Manager or Analyst using the documented cycle count procedure
• Reset product found in the wrong location

• Other duties as may be assigned or volunteered for.

Root Cause Analysis

• Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies
• Record discrepancies found during cycle count or audits on log
• Ensure timely communication of inventory discrepancies to the Inventory Control Manager and Logistics to mitigate impact to internal and external customers

Audits

• Randomly audit daily receipts provided by the Logistics department for put-away location accuracy.
• Randomly audit sales orders and transfers for adherence to Best Practices
• May audit materials released to and returned from Production and check their corresponding put-away locations to ensure the information is being recorded properly
• Communicate audit performance to the Inventory Manager on a daily basis
• Must meet and/or exceed targets for cycle counts and inventory audits as directed by the Inventory Manager.

This role will play a key part in supporting strategic initiatives and operational improvements by finding & analyzing data, identifying trends, and translating business needs into actionable insights. Key job responsibilities

As a Business Analyst on the Operations Integration team, you will:

• Write queries, compile data, and generate reports utilizing technologies such as RedShift, RDS (MySQL, MSSQL), Spectrum, and ETL.

• Tell a story based off the data, propose insights, and see actions through to the finish on those insights

• Work across various teams with fellow Business Analysts and Business Intelligence Engineers to prioritize the right work and deliver on it

• Partner with project managers to define business requirements, scope, and success criteria for strategic initiatives across the three distribution centers

• Be a master in change management. Assist in rollout strategies for new systems or process changes, including documentation, training, and stakeholder communication.

• Be quality-obsessed. Support testing activities, including writing test cases, validating outcomes, and identifying issues prior to go-live.

About the team

The grocery distribution center operations integration team (GDC OI) is a small but mighty group responsible for projects that impact a network of 3 distribution centers. The team connects upstream processes and systems with the GDC's operations team to ensure they are set up for success. The team looks downstream to ensure all actions are in the best interest of the GDCs. Key aspects of the team's role include KPI development, reporting optimization, process design / implementation, hardware & software rollouts, and executional leadership. OI team members are the network experts of the processes they own. This means they will spend significant time on-the-floor and with operators to have the knowledge needed to be successful.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

• 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience

• 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent

• Experience with SQL

• Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with SQL, Perl or other scripting languages

• Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

• Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
