What You'll Do:
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics operations, including transportation, material handling, and warehousing activities.
- Assist in developing and implementing logistics strategies aimed at cost reduction, improved efficiency, and timely delivery.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure accurate stock control, reduce carrying costs, and maintain material availability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production and material flow throughout the plant.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics partners to negotiate rates, manage contracts, and resolve any logistical challenges.
- Analyze logistics data to identify areas for process improvement and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, regulatory, and company policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience will also be considered).
- Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin and English (verbal and written) is preferred due to international communication.
- 2-4 years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of logistics processes, including transportation, inventory management, and warehousing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with logistics software or ERP systems (experience with SAP is a plus).
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $65k -$100k, plus eligibility for bonus and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by factors such as the role, level, and geographic location. Actual compensation within the range will be influenced by the specific work location, along with factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Support on-time delivery problem-solving and performance improvements with customers; actively communicate with all impacted parties to discover solutions to various issues, such as the shipment of the wrong product, excess or deficit of product, missed delivery time or date, etc.

Work closely with internal contacts to maintain vendor, carrier, and customer data, such as delivery location, frequency, etc.; use this information to support efficient and economical transportation of customer deliveries or shipments.

Ensure all transactions are tracked and accurately recorded in the appropriate systems. Daily reconcile assigned transactions (pickups/receipts) with customers, haulers, members, etc.

Ensure plant managers/staff, suppliers, customers, and haulers have properly documented, reported, and or entered all product and freight data required in the systems.

Review with management the status of the current week’s activities and transactions; provide an estimate of the current month’s performance, if appropriate.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Distribution Management, or related curriculum preferred.

2-5 years’ experience of logistics planning, transportation, distribution, supply chain, or related experience.

Working knowledge of the motor carrier industry is required.

Knowledge or experience with transportation management systems (TMS).

Computer proficiency with MS Excel and Word, with adaptability to learn new systems quickly.

General knowledge of regulatory requirements, rules, and regulations (DOT, GMP, USDA, OSHA, HACCP).

The target base salary for this position ranges from $115,000 to $135,000, in addition to a competitive equity and benefits package (as applicable). Responsibilities
Cycle count locations
- Cycle count each location in a sequential order for an aisle that is assigned by the Inventory Manager, using to the cycle count procedure.
- Cycle count by product. The products are to be specified by the Inventory Manager or Analyst using the documented cycle count procedure
- Reset product found in the wrong location

Root Cause Analysis
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies
- Record discrepancies found during cycle count or audits on log
- Ensure timely communication of inventory discrepancies to the Inventory Control Manager and Logistics to mitigate impact to internal and external customers
Audits
- Randomly audit daily receipts provided by the Logistics department for put-away location accuracy.
- Randomly audit sales orders and transfers for adherence to Best Practices
- May audit materials released to and returned from Production and check their corresponding put-away locations to ensure the information is being recorded properly
- Communicate audit performance to the Inventory Manager on a daily basis
- Must meet and/or exceed targets for cycle counts and inventory audits as directed by the Inventory Manager.
- Assist in both the semi-annual and annual Physical Inventory activities; including inventory preparation, training, and ensuring all PI policies are followed and executed in a timely fashion.

About the team
The grocery distribution center operations integration team (GDC OI) is a small but mighty group responsible for projects that impact a network of 3 distribution centers. The team connects upstream processes and systems with the GDC's operations team to ensure they are set up for success. The team looks downstream to ensure all actions are in the best interest of the GDCs. Key aspects of the team's role include KPI development, reporting optimization, process design / implementation, hardware & software rollouts, and executional leadership. OI team members are the network experts of the processes they own. This means they will spend significant time on-the-floor and with operators to have the knowledge needed to be successful.
Basic Qualifications
