A day in the life

About the team
You'll join the newly formed Global Logistics Product team for DFM Cost, focused on optimizing Amazon's $.7B annual transportation spend. Our team brings together supply chain experts, product managers, and business intelligence engineers to solve complex transportation challenges. We're passionate about developing innovative solutions that reduce costs while maintaining excellent service levels across our network.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
- 5+ years of owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Knowledge of SQL at an intermediate level, including: compile queries, subqueries, aggregation/grouping, data modification, etc.
- 5+ years of strategic sourcing and procurement operations experience in indirect categories.

Job Summary:In this role, you will manage project supply chain personnel in all operations for a project. You will participate with the project management team in defining and developing the scope of work, and in preparing and coordinating procurement and contracting plans, procedures, schedules, estimates, forecasts, and budgets. Supply Chain Manager / Material Program Manager (MPM)

Raytheon is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager / Material Program Manager (MPM) in the Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) mission area, Product Support sub-mission area of Raytheon directly supporting the Missiles, Airborne and SeaPower (MA&S) product area portfolio.

As a Supply Chain Manager (MPM), you're a self-starter, capable of developing and achieving organizational objectives in a matrix environment and able to successfully interface with functional and program leadership.

In this highly visible role, you'll lead a small team of MPMs, guiding them in the creation and execution of Material Program Plans (MPP) to ensure the flawless execution of programs from the front end of the business through contract closure, ensure adherence to policies, practices, and procedures.

The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communications skills to influence and communicate effectively across multiple areas outside of one's own job function as well as with parties external to the organization. You will have the opportunity to lead projects.

What You Will Do:

  • Take overall ownership of the supplier chain activities within your product area portfolio and accountability for your team of MPMs supporting numerous programs (large and small) for USG, FMS, DCS contracts.
  • Be involved with and have oversight of daily supply chain activities within your product area to include proposal reviews, MPP execution, customer on-time delivery (OTD), sales forecasting, EACs, issue resolution and problem solving.
  • Guide and mentor team of MPMs in developing, managing, and executing the Material Program Plans (MPP) to enable successful execution of program performance to customer requirements, from the front end of the business through contract closure.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Production Control and Procurement to ensure successful supplier management and execution in supporting program needs and requirements.
  • As a people leader you will be responsible for all aspects of your team's performance to include Goal creation and tracking, Individual Development Plans, Mid/end of year performance discussions, compensation planning, staff actions.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
  • Minimum 8 years experience with Supply Chain strategies, processes, and procedures.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Willingness to Travel Domestically/Internationally, as required. No more than 25%.
  • Commitment to obtain Earned Value Management Certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Commitment to obtain MPM Level 3 Board Certification within 18 months of hire.
