A Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the supply chain for company products from the manufacturing stage through to storage and product orders. Their duties include managing vehicle repairs and Driver needs, monitoring supply chain software to track order shipments and investigating lost shipments or late deliveries.

Responsibilities

Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.

Responding to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• In-depth knowledge of inventory records and control, property management, government requirements and reporting requirements;

• Strong business communication skills with strong verbal communications to interface effectively

• Able to coordinate with vendors to support RMA actions to include coordinating shipping/receiving actions

• Able to review a broad range of complex inventory records and requirements; track, report and develop recommendations; interface with subcontractors and customers to ensure requirements are satisfied

• Detail oriented and organized; able to understand complex inventory control and tracking requirements; ensure accuracy

• Strong ability to identify issues, risks, concerns and develop course of action to mitigate the issue and alleviate recurrence

• Proficient in the use of the MS Office family of products, email and government logistics practices

• Experience with inventory control systems such as: Service +, IFS, SC360, and PSAM is highly desired

• Prepare equipment for ground and air transport

• Valid Driver's License

• Operate up to a 24 foot box truck within the Washington DC Metropolitan area

• Climb and work from up to 12 foot ladders

Physical Demands:

•Lift over 70 LBS

• Administrative office/warehouse

• Potential for CONUS/OCONUS trips exist to support off-site compliance monitoring of asset management and logistics support requirements.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education/Experience

2+ years of related experience

Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work/military experience and 2+ of related experience in logistics, traffic and/or supply chain management.

An Account Logistics Coordinator is an essential role that helps a company get their product into the consumers’ hands in a timely manner. Their responsibilities include overseeing aspects of dispatching, warehouse operations, and providing excellent customer service to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.
  • Responding to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels.
  • Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
  • Notify clients well in advance of potential late deliveries.
  • Building Routes and Recurring Orders in TMS.
  • Making special shipping arrangements as necessary.
  • Tracking and fixing shipping errors.
  • Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards.
  • Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized.
  • Monitor driver electronic logs, driver scorecards, and E-log hardware.
  • Cover routes if needed.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Schedule: Monday through Saturday 10am to 7pm.

Please note that these hours are subject to change based on business needs. Flexibility in availability is essential, as adjustments may be required to meet operational demands. Further information will be discussed during the interviewing process.

Pay: 55-60K Annually

Requirements:

Skills Required:

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with others under any type of condition.
  • Excellent clerical and organizational skills to keep track of schedules, routes, and personnel.
  • Knowledge of computers for scheduling and other dispatching duties.
  • Ability to multitask with different, and sometimes conflicting, events happening at the same time.
  • Able to work under stress in a fast-paced work environment.

Travel & Work Conditions:

  • Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Work on site at customer's work location.
  • Primarily sedentary.
  • Exposure to weather elements when outside or driving.

Education and Experience:

  • At least 21 years of .
  • High school diploma or higher required.
  • 2+ years of experience in an administrative role required.
  • 2+ years of customer service experience required.
  • Has a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations or at fault accidents in the previous 3 years.

Work Authorization:

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without any type of work authorization or work sponsorship now or in the future.
