OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY :
Overall responsibility for maintaining a high level of accuracy and control of the flow of goods through the Operations and Distribution center located in Edgewood, New York. This vital role within NII is to provide effective and efficient operational and inventory control support to not only our main distribution, but will also be directly involved with 3rd party logistics, vendors and CDC located in Louisville, KY.
This position will require strong SAP knowledge along with CMS (Consignment Management System) or equivalent to manage inventory control processes pertaining to PO receipts, outbound orders along with the high volume of moving materials within the Distribution Centers. Utilize prior job knowledge and skills to implement cost reduction and/or improvements to the operations that will have positive bottom-line results.
Follow and adhere to established Standard Operational Procedures to ensure compliance with documented policies while meeting with established goals and objectives required for this position.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Responsible for maintaining, monitoring and tracking inventory through SAP(WMS) and Consignment Management System (CMS) for accurate inventory control.
- Timely and accurate processing of inbound receipts within SAP will include properly transferring material to established bin locations. Strong record keeping required for researching the disposition of receipts.
- Maintain and improve on organizing WIP and staging areas for efficient flow of materials along with utilizing visual markers (Cones) when applicable to aid in additional improvements.
- Work closely with all internal departments as it pertains to repair parts receiving, RMA’s, System builds for proper distribution and processing for efficient and timely movement of materials.
- Work closely with outside vendors to achieve the lowest costs on supplies and/or services that do not jeopardize our high-quality expectations.
- SAP/WMS processing for outbound orders utilizing configured RF-Devices.
- Proper carrier documentation through carrier BOL process or standard UPS tracking procedures
- Responsible for cycle counts and participation in periodic physical inventories for all internal and external locations within Nikon & 3PL facilities.
- Strong focus on enforcing and implementing required documentation for all equipment leaving the Distribution Centers and seeking proper approvals as required.
- Follow the Quality Management System (QMS) workflows and update processes, policy and procedure documentation when necessary.
- Ability to research all SAP transactions by movement type to effectively resolve discrepancies as they arise.
- Strong analytical skills required through SAP, CMS and current reporting for cost reductions and business planning initiatives to support the Operations and CDC with process improvements.
- Use of CMS program to scan barcodes on materials and to enter appropriate notes as required in database for receipt confirmations at the Operations facility.
- Coordinating the receipt and export of materials at the dock, communicating and notating all damaged or irregular shipments while retaining documents to meet company requirements.
- Oversee SAP orders and follow through on allocation, backorders, consignment and shipping process.
- Oversee consignments for MBL, CSHL, NBIL, NAMC and other Nikon facilities where inventory is located for Demo’s.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment.
Ancillary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate shipping/receiving for all service repairs on inbound/outbound processing.
- Assist with Quality Management System (QMS) on documentation and product markings
- Research reasons for missing products on consignments, prepare statistical reports as to losses and submit write-off requests to management.
- Maintain and organize storage boxes, Kits, packing material, etc. in the warehouse
- Ensure all Warehouse safety protocols are strictly enforced
- Review incurred freight costs and implement freight reduction initiatives
- All other duties as required or needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- 5 + years logistics & Inventory Control
- BA, BS, BBA or equivalent
- Technical Certification preferred
- Comprehensive PC knowledge including proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Working knowledge of inventory controls processes with a demonstrated ability to apply experience to resolve variances and implement improvements when applicable
- WMS/SAP knowledge required
- Strong ability to compile data and generate reports and consignment lists
- Strong professional written and verbal communication skills
- Prior Distribution & Warehouse operations background required
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 70 lbs.
- Able to operate warehouse equipment (hand truck, pallet jack, electric pallet stacker)

The Operations Supervisor provides direction at a single location, leading staff to ensure customer requirements are achieved while meeting our Penske goals and objectives.
In this role, Operations Supervisors will be bonus eligible based on their performance and location performance. Operations Supervisor could earn up to 12% of their base for Max Performance.
**Position Summary:**
Provide operational leadership to individual contributors and hourly workforce to ensure the execution of daily tasks and activities including, loading/unloading of trailers, cross-docking, and customer service operations in a manner consistent with company services and cost objectives. Supervise most processes directly including workforce and equipment scheduling. Responsible for making corrective action and disciplinary decisions up to written warning level. Involved in the hiring process and customer meetings as necessary.
**Schedule** : Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Hours may vary depending on business needs)
**Salary** : $ 54,900 - 72,700 - Position is bonus eligible up to 12% of the base salary

- File preloaded bulk and package order for pick up.

- Clerical experience in a chemical plant or industrial environment is a plus, but not required
- Ability to multi-task, such as answering multiple phone calls while entering computer data
- Computer literacy, including the ability to learn the computer database and understand how to receive, enter, and dispatch job orders using the database
- Experience using SAP is preferred
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.

Oversees and provides guidance to the inventory crew under direction of manager/supervisor. Compiles and maintains records of quantity, type, and value of material, property, equipment, merchandise, or supplies. Counts material, property, equipment, merchandise, or supplies and posts totals to inventory/property records. Verifies record computations against physical count of inventory and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies. Responsible for checking in Delivery Drivers, inspecting all returning trailers, verifying returned goods and damaged products and re-entering goods into inventory. Handles all matters relating to inventory control, checking quality of designated product, taking daily inventory on produce and product spoiled. Answers questions and solves inventory control issues based on extensive inventory control and company specific knowledge. May assist with training. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Perform assigned duties efficiently to reduce spoilage and positively contribute to profit margin.
Check quality of produce and ensure poor quality product is removed before any customer purchases.
Maintain appropriate inventory level on a daily basis.
Sort through pallets for bad product.
Repack produce in a timely and efficient manner to reduce spoilage and lost inventory.

**Job Summary**
Responsible for recording and maintaining control of all inventory items purchased and produced. Responsible for receiving product from vendors for quality control, maintaining the daily schedule of audits, managing inventory reports and help ensure the overall accuracy of the warehouse inventory.
**Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities**
+ Audit inventory to keep systems in balance during daily order processing.
+ Research and resolve all keyed issues, adjustments and discrepancies. Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures.
+ Assists in maintaining inventory accuracy. Complete follow up to all previous inventory adjustments. Completes and reviews cycle counts.
+ Maintain time control tables consistent with base tables, key and review allocations.
+ Receives products from vendors to check for quality. Communicates potential quality issues to buyers.
+ Maintains quality control and inventory control manuals.
**Nature and Scope**
+ Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor.
+ Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.

**Work Environment**
+ Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
+ Most of the time is spent sitting or standing in the same location and/or there may be a need to stoop regularly or move/lift light material or equipment (typically less than 8 pounds).
+ Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
**Education and Experience**
