**Job Overview**
TE Connectivity's Buyers/Planners are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine the quantity and order date for materials to meet production schedules, initiate purchase or production orders, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on customer demand. The Team develops forecasts and plans for labor requirements
**Must be within a reasonable commute of Fairview, NC. This position is fully onsite with** **_NO_** **remote/hybrid.**

**Responsibilities**
+ Responsible for Material planning, scheduling and inventory control by using SAP.
+ Interface closely with supplier and all plant support groups to ensure activities are defined accurately and executed effectively.
+ Partner with production to develop a Production plan that meets customer service requirements while maintaining minimum inventory.
+ Monitor the delivery plan on daily basis and make sure it meets the plan and highlight any discrepancies.
+ Creates and releases purchase orders with awareness of customer request dates, component and capacity availability, and any other resource issues needed to support on time delivery to internal and external customers.
+ Advises on availability date of finished products to Customer Service teams.
+ Place purchase order with suppliers in response to actively support business requirements and follows up on the deliveries and schedules.
+ Maintain appropriate material master data in SAP (MRP Views).
+ Maintains additional requirement and order data in support of performance reporting and operational financial planning.
+ Highlight BOM / Routing errors when encountered and follow up until resolved with Manufacturing Engineering
+ Work with QA to ensure timely release of finished goods & WIPs, coordinating and scheduling reworks as necessary

TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. **Job Responsibilities:**
+ Lead, train and recruit the planning department personnel.
