- Utilize One Link queries and excel reports to identify savings opportunities.
- Order and put away supplies rotating stock via FIFO inventory method.

Our Logistics Coordinators are responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities in the shipping and receiving offices, including providing customer service to the truck drivers. Georgia-Pacific Northwest Service Centers operates two very large distribution centers in the Portland, Oregon area. We ship and receive approximately 95,000 trucks each year, carrying your favorite brands including Quilted Northern Bath Tissue, Brawny Towels, Dixie plates, cups and bowls, as well as other items found in public establishments, including enMotion towels and dispensers. Were a business that is consistently growing and innovating.

Shifts include days and nights, as well as weekends and holidays. While the regular schedule will be a dayshift schedule, applicants need to be able to work any shift.

For this role we anticipate paying $25 hourly.

What You Will Do

  • Provide customer service to the truck drivers, providing them with appropriate paperwork and instructing them on where to park their trailers

Our client, a dynamic international trade company located in Portland, Oregon, US , is seeking a diligent and organized Logistics Coordinator to manage the efficient flow of goods. This role is crucial for coordinating shipments, managing inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of products across various domestic and international destinations. Key responsibilities include scheduling transportation, tracking shipments, preparing shipping documentation (bills of lading, customs forms), and liaising with carriers, customs brokers, and clients. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate logistics records, resolving shipping issues, and optimizing logistics processes to reduce costs and improve transit times. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Previous experience in a logistics or supply chain role is highly preferred. Proficiency in logistics software and strong computer skills, particularly in MS Excel, are required. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities are essential for managing the complexities of global shipping. You should be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
