SUMMARY : SABG is hiring a Logistics Analyst (Advanced) to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
- Experience directing activities to conduct focused Logistics strategic planning and analysis for all phases of life-cycle management.
- Experience coordinating with Technical Design Activities (TDAs), vendors, logisticians, and engineers to define initial and revised acquisition and supportability requirements for developmental programs and rapid capability planning.
- Experience identifying and updating initial requirements and analysis for systems/equipment designs from an operational, supportability, and resourcing perspective utilizing variables such as functional capabilities, physical attributes, environmental conditions, and other design characteristics.
- Experience establishing and assisting in the planning, development, coordination, and execution of required milestone documentation to fully support given program of record or project systems initiatives
- Experience leading integrated product support teams or working independently with systems to provide support capability and solve complex life-cycle logistics problems.
- Experience developing life-cycle logistics policies, plans, procedures and documents.
- Provides daily supervision and direction to support teams. Develop and presenting briefings to MDA senior leaders.
- Experience identifying and applying logistics management concepts, policies and practices as they apply to newly develop and legacy systems during the acquisition and sustainment phase of the life-cycle.
- Experience applying logistics analyses and using analytical tools to effectively assess integrated product support elements and mitigate risks, including planning for risk, assessing risk areas and developing risk management options.
- Demonstrate knowledge of continuous process improvement, contract management, acquisition, planning, funding, and management information systems.
- Security Clearance requirements: TS, TS/SCI, S as defined in the SOW
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :Capable of providing expertise in Strategic Planning, Programmatic and Communication techniques and processes to support stakeholder requirements. Has specialized relevant knowledge and works as a member of team and assists with solving complex problems. Mid-level working knowledge, skills and abilities using Microsoft Office and Adobe software suites is required. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
- Degree requirements: MA/MS in logistics acquisition, operation, sustainment and/or related field with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience; OR BA/BS in logistics acquisition, operation, sustainment, and/or related field with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience. OR AA/AS in logistics acquisition, operation, sustainment, and/or related field with a minimum of 15 years relevant experience.
- Must possess exceptionally strong analytical skills to conduct planning and analysis, and trend analysis
- Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, able to support multiple projects, possess excellent communication skills, work well within a team, interact with multiple levels of management, and be able to manage customer and contractor relationships
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Skills in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
- Possess exceptionally strong writing skills
- Skills in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
- Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and database (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Ingalls Shipbuilding offers internships which allow students to gain experience in technical or administrative positions and provide the opportunity to possibly gain future full time employment.
Some engineering, technical, and waterfront positions may require the ability to physically access a wide variety of work sites, including those aboard ships under various stages of construction or overhaul, including the use of vertical and inclined ladders, and may involve limited kneeling, stooping, standing, etc.

4. Attend a college/university (undergraduate or graduate program) in the fall following the internship
5. Successfully complete a criminal background investigation, physical and a hair follicle drug screen
6. Work a 40-hour work week for a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer.
