Position Description:

The Director of Supply Chain provides leadership to the Materials Management Department through the overall planning, direction, and management of the department, its policies and procedures, and its staff. This position is directly responsible for the sourcing, receiving and distribution of materials, both clinical and non-clinical, including, but not limited to, management of central and other store rooms that must provide prompt access to clinical supplies, par replenishment operations for all nursing and clinical areas, maintenance of equipment inventory, and the provision of delivery services to units for patient care, In house design & print, contract administration, and the procurement of goods and services for both acute and non-acute departments.

Key Responsibilities:
•Develop and manage purchasing strategies including contracts, standing orders, and vendor stocking arrangements.
•Oversee contract reviews and ensure optimal participation in GPO agreements to maximize cost savings and compliance.
•Ensure accuracy in purchasing documentation (invoices, POs, packing slips) and manage vendor returns and discrepancies.
•Maintain expertise in GPO programs and monitor procurement practices to ensure contract and tier compliance.
•Support product safety recalls and ensure regulatory compliance across purchasing, inventory, and distribution operations.
•Maintain and monitor patient supply distribution systems to ensure availability and proper charge application.
•Lead ERP system testing for supply chain changes and maintain accurate purchasing and equipment records.
•Guide departments in supply standardization and procurement; conduct product research and vendor evaluations.
•Serve as the primary liaison with vendors and purchasing organizations.
•Train and supervise supply chain staff to promote efficiency and excellent customer service.
•Ensure supply selections prioritize employee and patient safety.
•Maintain integrity of supply data systems and oversee receiving processes for all deliveries.
•Collaborate with hospital leadership to procure needed supplies and equipment in a timely, cost-effective manner.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Purchasing, Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field is required. Master degree in related area of study preferred.
2. Previous experience in a high-level supervisory capacity in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Materials Management, specifically in the healthcare industry, is preferred.

Job Description:

Education: Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Work Experiences: At least three years of relevant work experience required. Demonstrated success in leading overall departments of up to 40 people to drive operational excellence and sales targets.

Other Requirements: Must meet federal and state requirements for selling and processing firearms transactions. Must meet requirements to qualify to obtain/maintain FOID card (Illinois only).

Skills: Exceptional supervisory and management skills; ability to effectively coach team members on store policies, protocols and expectations; leads by example and effectively drives the performance of team members. Key Responsibilities:

Overall management responsibility for the execution and operational excellence of the entire store. Management responsibility for store Logistics and actively participates in the personnel decisions of team members, including, but not limited to, employee selection, training, discipline, termination and development. Provides departmental direction and daily supervisory oversight to Logistics and Merchandising Team Leads, and to Merchandising and Receiving Team Members to ensure execution of weekly merchandising, marketing and receiving plans. Develops and implements strategy for achieving weekly and monthly operational goals and completing tasks assigned to the store. This includes the development, analysis and implementation of the staffing, training, payroll hours and scheduling of team members. Manages workforce productivity, efficiency and process improvement projects and initiatives. Responsible for holding team members accountable for compliance with established sales, safety and security practices and procedures in conjunction with local, state and federal regulations. Ensures the completion of departmental zoning and adherence to department, store and Company standards. Responsible for supervising the execution of various assignments as delegated by the Store Director in Playbook. Actively participates in floor walks with Regional Vice President, District Manager, and Store Director and creates an implementation plan to make changes based on feedback provided in store walks. Audits firearm sales in compliance with federal and state law, including properly completing ATF Form 4473 and conducting background checks, and signs off as final approver. Required to complete Firearms Sales Certification training. Required to complete Power Industrial Truck Certification training. Successful completion of Academy Leadership University.

Provides supervisory oversight to the team member talent lifecycle including hiring, onboarding, developing and coaching team members. Required to learn, understand and enforce company policies, procedures and safety rules. Adheres to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules applicable to management-level employees. Duties may change and Logistics Manager may be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements & Attendance:

Regularly required to talk or hear; frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally climb or balance, or stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
