The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing every stage of the supply chain process. This includes coordinating and optimizing all aspects of the supply chain strategy, from product procurement to final delivery. The Supply Chain Manager ensures that materials are available for production, products are delivered to customers on time, and inventory levels are maintained at optimal levels while minimizing costs. Strong negotiation skills are essential for achieving advantageous agreements with suppliers and logistics partners, as well as for resolving conflicts and securing the best value for the company.
This is a full-time exempt position which will support our operations team, reporting directly to the Operations Manager. It is based at our facility in Perrysburg, Ohio. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Supply Chain Strategy
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve performance and reduce costs.
- Oversee and maintains the purchasing and inventory of goods
- Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain the quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance with terms of contracts.
- Coordinate with other departments such as sales, production, and finance to forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure the availability of products or services.
- Implement new technologies or systems to improve and streamline supply chain processes.
- Assess and manage risks to supply chain operations due to potential disruptions or variances.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers and logistics partners to achieve the best possible outcomes for the company.

- Research and document inventory discrepancies to identify root causes; supply possible solutions.
- Implement inventory control systems to reduce waste and obsolescence.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Leverage negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing, terms, and service levels from suppliers.
- Source raw materials, components, assemblies, etc.
- Negotiate with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.

- Collaborate with the production planner to ensure material availability aligns with production schedules.
- Forecast material requirements based on production plans and sales forecasts.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods.
- Optimize transportation and warehousing strategies to reduce costs.
- Negotiate with carriers and third-party logistics providers to secure efficient and cost-effective solutions.
- Lead team to include shipping, receiving and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Prepare and present reports on inventory levels, material costs, and supplier performance.

•Manage all aspects of shipping routes and delivery, specifically with regard to customer satisfaction. Proactively anticipates and defuses potential customer and vendor problems related to freight, packaging and delivery.

•Evaluate existing freight rates and proposed changes in rates and recommends changes in freight carriers, rates and discount structures.
•Create efficient processes to collect, distribute, and store freight quote information for future order execution and invoice payment.
•Create routing guides and shipping instructions for inbound and outbound shipments (domestic and international). Contacts vendors to ensure compliance.
•Coordinate with the Distribution Center on packaging requirements and creates processes for order placement and inventory tracking.
•Manage freight claim submission and follow-up by working across department lines and with customers. Creates processes to avoid future claims.
•Processes customer requests for industry compliance. Works with suppliers and Product Engineering to ensure that all necessary documents are received and customer requests are fulfilled in a timely manner.
