The Logistics Coordinator facilitates communication between production and customer service. Monitors production dates, yields, and lets all parties know the status of orders vs the shipping dates. Communicate with the Quality Dept. on hold and micro clear dates, including clearing items for shipping at our remote warehouses. They are responsible for setting up outbound trucks, pickup appointments, and reporting out to the team any updates or necessary changes. Identify the best rates available for lanes as well as track carriers for OT deliveries or issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Freight Quoting and Carrier Coordination
- Source and quote freight lanes and carriers to secure the most cost-effective rates.
- Collaborate with customer-provided carriers to optimize order setup and pickups.
- Screen calls and assist with onboarding of new carriers.
- Schedule outbound shipments at least two days in advance of the ship date.
- Optimize shipment planning for customers and coordinate multiple pickup locations, including third-party warehouses.
- Ensure carriers meet food-grade compliance, arrive on time, and have the correct equipment.
- Communicate changes in ship dates to Customer Service.
- Coordinate pickup appointments and scheduling directly with carriers.
- Verify production dates and yields to ensure delivery timelines are met.
- Notify stakeholders of order changes, shortages, or production schedule adjustments.
- Partner with the Quality Department to monitor micro dates and held items.
- Follow up on product release delays and report updates to Customer Service and Production teams.

- Execute material transfers within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Assist in verifying inventory for outbound shipments and report rework opportunities.
- Conduct warehouse reconciliations for Lindner at the end of each period to ensure accurate inventory tracking.
- Ensure stock at outside warehouses are correct for outbound orders and set up all transfers/ orders with the correct pickup location.
- Serve as a liaison for key customers regarding call-off and floor stock orders (e.g., HOF).
- Support plant visitor management in accordance with GMP protocols and manage intercom communications.
- Provide support to the Shipping Department as needed across all operational areas.
- Learn and serve as a backup for inventory control, including entering yields and consumptions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
