**Position Summary:**
Provide operational leadership to individual contributors and hourly workforce to ensure the execution of daily tasks and activities including driver deliveries, loading/unloading of trailers, cross docking and customer service operations in a manner consistent with company services and cost objectives. Supervises most processes directly including workforce and equipment scheduling. Responsible for making corrective action and disciplinary decisions up to written warning level. Involved in the hiring process and customer meetings as necessary. Reviews truck runs based on location of accounts, volume, costs, customer requirements and private fleet utilization. Review daily orders for additional private fleet opportunities based on above requirements.
**Major Responsibilities:**

-Understand the location-specific customer goals & objectives, Ensure the customer knows that we are committed to helping them meet their objectives, Determine areas that could benefit from Continuous Improvement efforts.
**Fleet/Assets:**
-Properly plan work assignments to ensure effective use of fleet/warehouse equipment, Work with hourly associates to ensure they understand safe and efficient operation of equipment.

**Qualifications:**
-2 - 4 years related functional experience

- Optimally apply knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of Supply Chain Management.
- Solid understanding of SAP and EDI transmission of the procure-to-pay process, including data elements.
- 3 -5 years minimum proven experience in purchasing or Materials Management . Manufacturing environment preferred.
- Demonstrates good grasp of knowledge of the field.
- 3-5 years minimum proven experience with SAP desirable.

Job Description
The Coordinator is responsible for managing and scheduling delivery orders and requests from customers. This role involves exercising discretion and independent judgment when handling customer requests, scheduling, and informing dispatch. The Coordinator must enter all orders into the computer system for dispatch, requiring specialized training and experience in the transportation industry.
Responsibilities
+ Receive and schedule all delivery orders and requests from customers.
+ Exercise discretion and independent judgment when handling customer requests and scheduling.
+ Enter all orders into the computer system for dispatch, requiring specialized training and experience in the transportation industry.
+ Ensure rail billing is in place before containers are delivered to the railroad and validate in-bond documentation with US customs if necessary.
+ Verify bookings are released at depots for export moves and trace import containers on the rail to confirm delivery is made by the last free day.
+ Prepare customer reports and tracking/tracing as required, such as divisional pool, MDR, CNI, Daily Activity, and Dispatch Status.
+ Notify Cargo Specialist Supervisor/management of all service failures.
+ Propose and implement solutions to improve overall customer service.
+ Create and update location profiles in the computer system.
+ Work as a dispatcher as volume/vacation schedule dictates.
+ Complete other projects as assigned by management.
