JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
This job requires the employee to perform the following tasks:
- Schedule outbound appointments with carriers using MS Outlook and JustFoods.
- Communicate with Supervisor and Manager on shortage. Follow up with scheduling and runs for upcoming appointments. Communicate with CSR on delays and shortages.
- Ensure appointed trucks arrive as scheduled, follow up as necessary.
- Participate in semiannual physical inventory as requested.
- Support the review, understanding and compliance of all programs, policies and procedures contained in the Food Safety and Quality Management System.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ITEM % of TIME JOB FUNCTIONS
- 35% Coordinate outbound appointment with transport
- 20% Review of Ship Life, FIFO Concerns and expired finished goods reports. Complete requests to bill as needed and schedule the shipment to relieve inventory.
- 15% Work with and create the activities of the cycle batches & archive list in JustFoods for the department to determine what needs to be counted and analyze the counting results. Investigate discrepancies and report back findings to Supervisor and Manager.
- 10% Completion of SAP & PGI of Conagra shipments. And other customers as needed to meet with requirements.
- 5% Adjustments of container tickets for corrections. Report recurrence findings to Supervisor and/or Manager.
- 5% Perform the duties as Shipping Clerk on an as needed basis for breaks, vacations, and/or during busy times.
- 5% Ensures that polices/procedures are enforced and maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- 5% Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor & Manager

Customers, Truck Drivers, Trucking Companies, Vendors and Contractors
Education Level and Focus:
High School graduate or equivalent required. 2-year degree preferred
Years and Type of Related Experience Required:
2+ years previous shipping experience preferred. Must have Microsoft office experience.

Requires walking, sitting, the ability to bend and stoop, as well as lifting 50 lbs. on occasion and climbing up and down stairs.
Work Environment:
Exposed to extreme cold/hot temperatures, high noise levels, wet floors. This is a Safety Sensitive Position.

Computer, phone and fax machine, CAPS scanner for totes.
Special Equipment Used:

Key Responsibilities:
- Read and understand blueprints as needed as a requirement for inspecting incoming parts
- Inspect and assure that incoming parts are correct before they are put on the required jobs
- Input incoming parts into inventory using forklift, powerlift and other lifting equipment
- Crosstrain to fulfill duties as needed in other areas to meet customer requirements
- Participate in team projects related to safety, efficiency, quality or other areas as deemed necessary
- Provide proper housekeeping, care of equipment and safe operating procedures
- Perform other duties and complete other assignments as may be requested or assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Knowledge of blueprints, tape measurements, micrometers and limited computer skills
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrate good judgment, dependability and satisfactory work quality and quantity
- Proven ability to be part of an effective team through personal interaction based on trust, respect, communications, problem solving and individual, as well as team performance
- Ability to consistently lift 50-75 lbs. Must be able to bend, twist, reach, grasp with fingers, stand for extended periods of time
