Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Project Logistics Specialist to support all international & domestics logistics, including the transport of oversized or overweight equipment to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
    • Manage shipments for Mitsubishi Power's projects, including pre-shipment planning, transport, and final-mile delivery.
    • Ensure on-time delivery of Mitsubishi Power's equipment to the job site.
    • Collaborate with our colleagues in Japan, engineering, project management, procurement, construction, and third-party providers to align logistics plans with the master project schedule.
    • Coordinate multimodal transportation for high-value cargo.
    • Perform the Release to Ship process: includes issuing shipping instructions to suppliers and shipping coordination with Logistics Service Providers, Expediting / Sourcing Team members, and Site Material Management (TFA) personnel.
    • Attend supplier, project and customer related meetings.
    • Track and process carrier/forwarder invoices, along with project budget support.
    • Manage any claims that result from damage, delays or charges related to the transportation of Mitsubishi Power's equipment.
    • Ensure all international shipments comply with U.S. and foreign government regulations and local customs requirements.
    • Manage the preparation, review, and submission of documentation for customs clearance and special cargo handling.
    • Partner with customs brokers and freight forwarders to address country-specific import/export challenges and avoid costly delays.
    • Create import/export documents and the broker instruction letter to our customs broker.
    • Maintain records and trade compliance per Mitsubishi Power's Trade Compliance Department standards.
    • Ensure strategic operational execution initiatives are aligned with logistics service providers.
    • Support the Project Logistics Manager & Customs Compliance Manager as necessary.
    • Perform other duties as may be required from time to time by the company.
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, Engineering, or 5+ years of relative experience.
  • Demonstrated success managing international cargo across multiple continents.
  • Strong knowledge of Incoterms, HTS classifications, international trade regulations, and documentation requirements.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and MS Office.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as project needs dictate.
Preferred:
  • Customs Brokers License
  • Lean Six Sigma or logistics process improvement credentials

**The role you'll contribute:**
The Regional Supply Chain Director is responsible for providing leadership and management of all supply chain efforts for facilities in a defined region, serving as the direct report for all Supply Chain Directors/Managers within the region. This position serves to manage supply chain efforts across all facilities within the region, ensures alignment with system initiatives, oversees supply chain operations (receiving, logistics, distribution, inventory management, value analysis, customer service, etc.), and oversees the deployment of efforts related to operational excellence, contract compliance, conversions, utilization, and standardization of supplies, services, and equipment. Responsible for understanding non supplies and purchased services costs, creating and implementing proactive strategies to improve processes, reducing supply and purchased services expense across the region, and ensuring best practices in place to monitor, control, and identify issues or unintended consequences. Builds relationships in the region and at corporate services to facilitate and promote the delivery of lowest total cost of supplies, services and equipment while supporting clinical, functional, operational and quality criteria necessary to fulfill our mission.

+ Oversees daily supply chain operations and initiatives within a defined region.
+ Manages and develops supply chain leaders to ensure continuous operational capability.
+ Directly manages all Supply Chain Directors, Managers, and Clinical Resource Managers within the region.
+ Develops and implements processes to streamline operations and create savings.
+ Coordinates with VP Supply Chain Operations to set regional strategy and goals aligned with corporate initiatives.
+ Builds and manages relationships with regional leadership to ensure supply chain strategies align with financial, functional, and clinical strategies.
+ Analyzes operations and expenses to achieve operational excellence and top benchmark scores.
+ Oversees the selection and training of new Supply Chain Management personnel in the facilities.
+ Serves as the primary liaison between corporate supply chain and hospital CFOs to align initiatives.
+ Educates, communicates, and ensures adoption of corporate initiatives and contracts.
+ Reviews regional statistical data, financial reports, budgets, and cost analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
+ Provides direction for customer support activities to ensure customer satisfaction.
+ Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED** **:**
+ Bachelors Degree
+ 5 years supply chain or related hospital operations experience
+ 4 years leadership experience
+ In-depth knowledge of healthcare supply chain operations and processes
+ Deep understanding of clinical/functional departments and hospital operations
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:**
+ Masters Degree
**LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:**
+ Certified Materials & Resource Professional
+ Six Sigma
